Manchester City are reportedly planning to open contract talks with Raheem Sterling.
The 26-year-old has struggled to show his best form for the Citizens during the 2020-21 campaign but has still contributed 14 goals and 11 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions.
Sterling is no longer assured of a spot in Pep Guardiola’s first XI, and a recent report claimed that the England international could be available for transfer during this summer’s window.

However, according to The Telegraph, Man City are preparing to open discussions with the attacker over a new long-term deal at the Etihad Stadium.
The report claims that Sterling wants to wait until the end of the season to begin talks, but the Citizens are hopeful that he will commit his future to the club.
The Englishman could start Man City’s Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday but is likely to be named on the bench for the Champions League final against Chelsea on May 29.
