Manchester United have confirmed Axel Tuanzebe and Andreas Pereira have signed new contracts at Old Trafford. Both players have progressed through the United academy in recent years and they have been rewarded after a number of impressive performances last season.
Tuanzebe spent the last campaign on loan at Aston Villa and helped the Villans return to the Premier League thanks to their 2-1 Championship play-off final success. The 21-year-old has been at Old Trafford since he was eight and is now under contract until 2022, with the option to extend for a further year.

When asked about his new deal, Tuanzebe told the club’s official website: “I have grown up at Manchester United and it has always been a big part of my life and my family’s life. I appreciate the trust that the club has in me and I want to repay that with my performances on the pitch. “I know I have a lot of hard work and learning ahead of me, but the experience I gained throughout last season puts me in good stead for the future ahead.
I am determined to give everything and show everyone the player that I can be.” Pereira was given a number of chances towards the back end of last season and has now made 35 appearances for the first team since joining the club in 2011.
He has been given a deal until 2023, with United also adding an option to extend it for a further 12 months. The Brazil international said: “I have spent so long in Manchester that I now regard the city and the club as my home and I’m extremely happy to continue my career here. The manager has shown great faith in me and I can’t wait to get this campaign started under him.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
