Spanish star Juan Mata has been forced to shut his Manchester tapas restaurant after racking up almost £1million in debt.
Tapeo and Wine is closing its doors, just four years after it was opened by Mata.
SunSport disclosed in July that the business was encountering severe financial difficulty amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Books filed to Companies House in the summer revealed total debts of £772,086 for 2018 – up from £593,548 in 2017.
The venue, which accrued a healthy TripAdvisor rating of 4.5/5, confirmed its closure on Tuesday.
A statement posted online read: “Adios y gracias!
“Unfortunately, and after five years of trying our best to bring Spain to you, through our food, drinks and service, our restaurant Tapeo and Wine will not be opening its doors anymore.
“We had to take this decision as a result of a number of factors and we thank every single one of you who over the years came and enjoyed with us!
“It’s been a great ride and we will always be grateful for your love and support!”
Mata, 32, left the day-to-day running of Tapeo and Wine to his father, Juan Mata Rodriguez.
In 2016, it even hosted the Manchester City Christmas party following a star-studded opening featuring Mata, David De Gea and Ander Herrera.
