Monaco president, Vadim Vasilyev has revealed that Kylian Mbappe would one day play for Real Madrid.
The French striker left Monaco and signed for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for a record fee of £166million and according to Vasilyev, he told him that he was not ready to play for Real Madrid yet as he wanted to build a reputation in France first.
The Spanish giants have consistently indicated strong interest in signing the forward in the over the years.
Speaking to Telefoot, Vasilyev said:
‘He said “Vadim, deep inside me, I feel it is too early”,’
‘”I have only played for a year in my country, I’m Parisian, I don’t want to leave my country like that.

‘”I want to become a great player here. Real Madrid will wait, that’s that I think”.’
According to Vasilyev, Mbappe has not changed despite the success he has attained at a young age as he revealed they still have a close relationship.
‘He is still the same person,’ Vasilyev said. ‘He has grown, gained influence and notoriety.
‘If he doesn’t play, he feels uncomfortable and even sick.’
Mbappe had turned down the opportunity to play for Madrid earlier in his career but the Russian boss insists the World Cup winner would still ply his trade in Spain.
‘They [Real Madrid] will knock on your door,’ Vasilyev insists he said to Mbappe.
‘The entire Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will applaud you when you get there.’
The 20-year-old France international is the PSG’s top scorer this season with eight goals in all competitions and would join his teammates as they face Madrid at Bernabeu on November 26.
