Barcelona defender, Jordi Alba has confirmed that Lionel Messi is fully committed to the club.
Messi, who has been linked with a potential move to PSG, is yet to make a final decision about his future. Even though he has considered moving on a few occasions, he has never been so close to leaving the club he joined as a 12-year-old.
The uncertainty around his future is brought into sharp focus today (Tuesday) as Messi leads Barcelona into a mouth-watering Champions League last-16 tie against Paris St-Germain.
However, Jordi Alba does not think the No.10 will be at all distracted by the transfer talk.
“Even if I had my future clear in my mind, I wouldn’t reveal my plans yet,” Jordi Alba said in a pre-match press conference when asked about Messi and his future.
“For now, he is 100 percent committed to Barcelona.
“With him, we’re better and stronger and I hope he stays here for many more years. But, it’s his decision and that needs to be respected.
“Right now, he is focused on Barcelona. You can see that in every match.
