Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi believes Borussia Dortmund will overcome Real Madrid in the final of the UEFA Champions League.
Recall that both teams will clash on Saturday June 1 at the Wembley for the prestigious trophy.

However, the former Chelsea star, who is also a Champions League winner, told TribalFootball, that Borussia Dortmund deserve to win the trophy more than Real Madrid.
He also took aim at Real Madrid’s veteran players, where he insisted that the trophies this generation players have won are undeserved.
“To be honest, I really hope that the Borussia Dortmund win the UCL final. They deserve it more than Real Madrid.
“When you see that players like Kroos, Nacho, Carvajal and Modric won 5 trophies of the UCL it is a bit unfair, because these players are not even close to being the best in their positions.
“This shows that trophies can be misleading. I can name 10 players in the same positions that are better than these footballers.”

What even cements his status as a legend is how he stepped in to rescue the Olympic team at the 2016 Olympics, personally funding the team’s accommodation and feeding, when our sports officials failed woefully to provide these necessary things. I will never forget that.

He claimed that Mikel scored only 1 Afcon goal in 2006, could anyone remind me who scored our first goal against Bennin Republic at Afcon 2008 in Ghana?.If someone with 86 Caps for Nigeria, played at Afcon 2006,2008,2010 and 2013 and World cups in 2014and 2018 can’t be a Legend then who can? I an a big Fan of Obi Mikel and he is definitely a Super Eagles Legend infact when Obi Mikel is on his game in Nigeria Shirt we are almost certain to win the match as he proved Countless of times in WC 2014, WC 2018, Afcon 2013 WC’ 18 qualifiers. Chelsea themselves even call Mikel a Chelsea Legend so who are we to dispute that infact he scored a high rating in their 2012 UCL victory against Bayern Munich and played an integral role in that Campaign for Roberto Di Matteo.
