Milan Cast Eye Over Rangers Striker

AC Milan sent scouts to Scotland to watch Alfredo Morelos in action for Rangers on Thursday as they consider making a bid. Milan look set to lose Patrick Cutrone to Wolves after the striker left their pre-season camp in the USA to further discuss terms with the Premier League club.

New boss Marco Giampaolo is reportedly keen to sharpen his attacking options and the Italian feels Morelos could be the perfect fit. The controversial 22-year-old recently revealed a desire to play at the highest level after missing out on spot in Colombia’s Copa America squad.

He bagged 30 goals across all competitions last season but his lack of discipline has put some suitors off making an approach after he was also sent off five times in 2018-19. Morelos has already notched four times in the Europa League this term and Milan had scouts at Ibrox to watch him in action against Progres Niederkorn on Thursday. Reports claim that Rangers aren’t willing to sell for any less than £15million and a deal may depend on Cutrone heading off to Wolves for a similar fee.
