Moffi Rejects Marseille, Wants Nice Move

Nigeria forward, Terem Moffi has rejected a move to Ligue 1 club, Olympic Marseille, reports Completesports.com.

Marseille and Lorient reportedly agreed a deal for Moffi’s transfer to the former this week.

Senegal international Bamba Dieng is also expected to move to Lorient as part of the deal.

Moffi is however not interested in a move to Les Aiglons and instead favours a move to another French club, OGC Nice.

Nice are still negotiating with Lorient and will need to meet their valuation for the transfer to go through despite agreeing personal terms with the player.

Marseille, according to RMC Sport have decided to move on and look for other alternatives.

The club’s hierarchy met with Moffi’s representatives on Tuesday and were told Moffi was not keen in the move.

The 23-year-old had also reportedly turned down a move to Premier League club, West Ham during this window.

The striker has scored 12 goals in 18 league appearances for Lorient this season.

The ten percent increase in salary by mid table Nice made you reject a champions league team, and you even politely turned their president proposal despite him showing seriousness by flying over to lorient for your sake to try and change your mind. Marseille will increase your stock showcase your talent via champions league football than Nice and Your only rival is an ageing Sanchez with lesser goals in Lique one than you. OGC Nice often struggle to make UCL and have less creative players compared to Marseille, so I wonder what sense of Judgment Moffi is using by choosing Nice who just changed their highly respected coach recently.

You can never tell the thinking of Nigerian players. A lot of them marry early so their decision-making is dictated by their wives and family.

Aside the extra money by Nice as read on FotMob and owngoal, something tells me he wants to be in a team where there’s no competition so that he will be the Oga at the top as he is in Lorient. Because when you compare the two squad and general match analysis of these two teams you’ll notice that one creates more chances and dominates matches than the latter. So the questions goes again why will a player reject a team that dominates an opposition??? Nigeria players indeed Moffi and Emmanuel Dennis have the same mindset, highly talented players but the pride they both exhibit is having the better of their destinies. May God help them because we can only say a prayer for them after all the spanking.

What kind of a thing is this now?
Who swear for all these Nigerian players not always choose a more reputable club?

Even Ivory coast and small African countries players make better choices always! Nawa4u Moffi o.

    Nice over Marseille???

OGC Nice are rebuilding like Newcastle. Already they have Kasper Schmichael, Morgan Schneindalin, Aaron Ramsey, Ross Barkely, Nicolas Pepe in their team and i believe more will come next season. Seems they now have a rich club owner.

Aside the ageing goalie you mentioned the rest were deemed surplus to requirement at their former club that is why they’re at Nice today. Every team in football are building but only a few teams succeed, Nice of today is nothing compared to the Nice that once defeated lorient away from home. The coach that once made Nice play good football has moved on and the new coach according to their recent match statistics is not doing anything positive. Moffi must grow up and join a big team and grow in mentality to move to the next stage of his career.

Why Nice I don’t get it??They are two places below Lorient on the league table quenching any hope of champions League football next season.
With what this lad has achieved in his career so far especially in the ongoing season,I think Moffi should move to a top team that are interested in his services, enough of all this mid table, relegation bound teams our super eagles players are known for.
Apparently,to win a big tournament you need a few of your players plying their trade in top European teams, those players are not better than Moffi, probably our players are scared of challenges that comes with playing for a top club which normally have word class players.
    A shame indeed!

  • Should we then say village people are at work again with all the analysis you guys have given?
