It seems very clear that Victor Moses will finally make his departure from Chelsea before the summer transfer window ends after failing to get squad number for the 2020/21 season.
Chelsea on Thursday released their players’ shirt numbers for the new campaign on Twitter, writing: “Squad numbers for the 2020/21 season!”.
And a quick check showed that Moses was excluded. The Blues did not, however, fail to laud Moses for a huge charitable gesture towards his former club, Wigan Athletic who he made a significant donation to amid their financial woes.
“Victor Moses has become the second
Chelsea player after Reece James to lend a helping hand to Wigan Athletic after making a ‘significant donation’ to the fund to help save his former club.

“Wigan supporters are aiming to raise£750,000 to support the club this season and are close to their target after the contribution from the Nigerian who joined Chelsea from the Latics in 2012.”
Moses on Wednesday made a huge donation to support his former club-side amid their financial struggles, the team’s supporters body made an official confirmation on the social media.
Moses has been loaned out to five different clubs as a Chelsea player since he joined the London side from Wigan in August 2012, namely; his loan stints at Liverpool (2013), Stoke City (2014), West Ham (2015), Fenerbahce (2019) and Inter Milan (2020).
