Musa Happy To Join ‘Ambitious Club’ Fatih Karagumruk

Ahmed Musa insists he has joined a highly ambitious club after linking up Turkish Super Lig side Fatih Karagumruk, reports Completesports.com.

The Nigeria captain penned a two-year contract with the modest club on Thursday.

“I was very impressed with the team’s philosophy, style of play and it’s clearly an ambitious club,” Musa, who has the option of an additional year, told BBC Sport Africa.

“I feel wanted and that’s what made all the difference. I want to repay that faith. I can’t wait to link up with my team mates and help the club achieve their ambitions.”

A free agent since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, Musa was eager to return to European football in order to be fully prepared for January’s Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.

The 98-capped Super Eagle had received “good offers” from other Turkish clubs but chose the Istanbul-based side, according to his agent Tony Harris.

“There were interest and good offers from other Turkish clubs, but Karagumruk have an impressive philosophy and very professional approach to it,” Harris said.

“Everything being considered, Karagumruk has a befitting playing style and I believe Musa will be very successful at the club.”

So this is the “top club in Europe” our “doctor” in this forum was talking about?

Fatih Karagumuruk. Sounds like the name of a Hindu temple.

…hahaha. Bomboy… The funny thing is that we have Nigerians in more illustrious clubs in Turkey who have been seasoned campaigners in that league… When you look at someone like Anthony Nwaekeme who is in one of the Turkish Big 4 teams and how he has been doing well with them and yet he is considered old and not relevant to Super Eagles even though he has been a top performer for the last 4years in Turkey and folks like Musa are just being reserved National team slots and celebrated for being unattached, then NPFL and now at unknown Fatig Karagumruk… You will realize life no balance for everybody in Nigeria… I don’t even see Musa as a better player than fast Kayode Olanrewaju… Walahi! One is accorded opportunity and the other is shut out…

Hhehehehe….See them…bad belle them. Of course you will never see Ahmed Musa as better than Kayode na. You that sees Nwakali as better than ALL SE midfielders including Mikel….LMAOOoo….yet he is languishing in spanish 2nd devision while the others are earning big moves to the biggest stages where football is played. Or Ajayi being better than Iheanacho, Dessers and Onuachu put together….something you wouldnt hear from even goat hearders…..yet he has been stuck in north africa with his 5 league goals annual avergae per annun….LMAOoo. Nobody gives a damn about what you see Mr…because everyone on this forum knows your sense of sight has long been beclouded by racial/tribal/section sentiments and parochial interests.

Musa and Kayode went to the same U20 world cup in 2011….Musa as a winger tallied the same 3 goals and 2 assists Kayode as a centre forward tallied.
Musa has since gone on to be the best SE winger since Odegbami with 16 goals and 15 assists including 4 SOLID WC goals making the top 10 goals in consecutive world cups in the colours of the SE….Kayode his agemate hasnt even done enough to earn a full cap yet….LMAO.
Musa is till today regarded a CSKA Moscow legend, Kayode cannot even command a shirt in Shaktar Donetsk yet.
Musa has been appointed SE captain twice by 2 different SE coaches, 1 local, 1 foreign, with 98 caps all together….we are still waiting for 28yr old Kayode to prove himself worthy of a place in the SE ahead of the likes of Onuachu, Osimhen, Iheancho and Umar.

But you dont “even see Musa as a better player than fast Kayode Olanrewaju”……LMAOOOoo. Tell Kayode to go back to his parent club and go become a legend first, then we can talk. Because the next thing you will say now is that Kayode is being “victimized because he is black”….LMAOOoo. People with eyes are talking, even blind man wants to talk.

Remove the hatred and religious bigotry in you 1st, then you will see clearly like every normal person.

@Dr.Drey… I see the reason why it was easy for you to criticize Anayo Iwuala who played only 8minutes against Cameroun recently in the 2nd leg and Musa who flopped for 90minutes with a flat score of 4/10 was never criticized by you… The same way you goofed yesterday that Musa Ahmed was the last player to leave NPFL for mainstream Europe… that I advised you to dig well into available archives and you then kept mute… the last time Musa played in a serious club he was demoted and asked to go train with junior boys at Leicester… Who know Fatih Karagumruk… he is on pension roll that’s what we know. Where will you fit Musa in today’s super Eagles with the likes of Dennis, Kalu, Chukwueze and Moses Simon… Lookman or Ejaria never even enter party o. Musa is past his prime… he is atleast 35yrs. If Musa was not Hausa for quota slot… with all his nonactivity until Kano pillars came to his aid… no one will extend invite to him again except Rohr who is a politician and knows better not to hurt the egos of Northern Nigeria at this delicate time… There is nothing Musa is going to do in Turkey that Nwaekeme, Umar and Larry have not done… Somehow you make a baseless assertion and want everyone to buy into it… for someone like you who only understands football by reading stats and not having really pertaked… Musa is better than Finidi, Babangida, Ikpeba and Amuneke… do you even realize the sorts of clubs those dudes played for? In your dreams… Musa no fit lace any of those guys boots. Musa is a winger today… tomorrow he is not a forward… is a winger not a forward… The way you contradict yourself atimes is very funny. Tell me who you go bench for Musa Ahmed in Super Eagles today? Fit him in a starting eleven let us see… I challenge you! Finidi at a time was
seen and hailed as best right winger in world football… Amuneke, IKPEBA both African player of the year

Hahahaha…he has started jumping from pillar to post once more….LMAO. From “….I don’t even see Musa as a better player than fast Kayode Olanrewaju….” He has jumped to comparing Musa with Iwuala and others…..LMAOoo. We don use facts and figures tear am hot slap again, eye don begin turn am

Oga pls tell us from your own archives the last NPFL player to transfer straight from the league to mainstream Europe in the last 10 years…..and pls we are not talking of B teams in 2nd divisions o…..LMAOOOo….before you will now go and start digging out Osuchukwu or Ezekiel Bassey for us again or players from Finland and Czech republic or Greece, as if we didnt know before, thinking you are telling us something new….LMAOOOoo..not knowing you were just plainly wasting your time. You who wants to be the FACTBANK, pls give us your list of the the last NPFL player to transfer straight from the league to mainstream Europe in the last 10 years. I could see you go green with envy for every acknowledgement Dr.Drey receives on CSN from readers……LMAOoooo. When you are done with that you can also pls give us your 24 man list of the best Nigerian footballers out there. For 3 days now the assignment choke you for throat, since you cannot come up with a better list than the man you call “Dumb” and “Senile” usually comes up with…..LMAOooo.

I already gave you a reply on that thread already but you went AWOL…..LMAOOOo when facts and figures were presented to you. Now facts and figures have been presented to you again, you have quickly changed mouth from how Kayode is better than Musa to Iwuala….the same way you jumped from comparing Musa and other wingers like Finidi and AMuneke to comparing him with centre forwards like Amokachi and IK Uche when FIFA records slapped your mouth left and right…LMAOOOo.

Musa had a flat score of 4/10 vs Cameroon in the 2nd friendly, pls how many players had more than +1 of Musa’s rating in the same game. It was a general poor performance by everyone’s standards. But what about the 1st friendly….highlights below…..was he not CLEARLY the best performer out of all the substitutes in that game. Every forward movement we made once he came in was through Ahmed Musa. What about the friendly vs Tunisia….did he not get us the assist for the only goal and won the penalty for what should have been a 2nd goal and probably the winner….those ones are not in your record books right, its the one where he got 4/10 in a generally awful team performance that your hatred has stamped in your memory….LMAOooo. Your $1m dollar Anayo has been huffing and puffing for 5 games now with zero output other than running kiti kiti kiti all over the pitch, but a 2nd division Abraham marcus played, came in vs cameroon and within the same 8 minutes and the whole world rose in applause. Pls what was your Iwuala’s output when faced with a largely homebased Mexican defence…? LMAOooo

At least Musa even made it as far as Leicester city and even scored 8 goals and 3 assists in 40 matches, including 2 sumptuous world class goals against the main squad of the greatest football team of all times…FC BARCELONA….averaging 1 goal contribution every 4 games despite being a winger. Guess how much Al Nassr payed for him…..15m….that’s 2 times the TOTAL value of Kayode THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER…yet in your eyes Kayode is better than Musa….LMAOooo…pls go and see an optician ASAP…..you have chronic glaucoma, cause by hatred and bigotry. You Kayode that is better than Musa moved to Man city but wanst even good enough to even train with Junior boys (at least Musa was training with Junior boys in LCFC), talk more of getting games…I dont even think he came as close as using their training ground sef….LMAOooo…..yet to you he is better than Musa. Your Kayode ran to Shaktar Donetsk….he couldn’t even tie down a shirt, but Musa is a legend in CSKA Moscow till tomorrow…..maybe its quota system that is responsible for all these too…..LMAOOooo.

The last serious club Musa played for was Leicester city, pls which club was the last serious club your better Kayode played for…? Who knows Fatih Karagümrük…? Really…..a team that finished 6th on the league table only behind Trabzonspor and the Turkish giants while your Kayode’s last 2 clubs in the same league finished 9th and 13th respectively…? Musa is on pension roll at 2m per year, pls how much are your Kayode and other speed stars earning at the same age of 28yrs old….LMAOoo. Musa is 35 years old so it is Kayode that you are clamuring for that is 17 years old…? or Simy Nwankwo that is 20..? Or Onuachu that is 23 yrs old…?

Was it Musa’s Hausa linage that conjured the assist he gave Ighalo vs Cameroon at the last AFCON or was it his Muslim religion that conjured the assist he gave Iheanacho in the friendly vs Tunisia and the subsequent penalty which Nacho threw away…? Was it his northern origin that dashed him 4 world cup goals, making top 10 goals in back to back world cups….? Was Keshi Hausa too when he was taken to the AFCON and WC in 1994 as “non-playing captain”….? Him and Oliha went to Tunisia 94 clubless (I stand to be corrected)….They must be Hausas….yet Musa hasnt even been taken to any tournament clubless yet. Was Daniel Amokachi Hausa too when he was taken to the 1998 WC and 2000 AFCON unfit…? Was Yobo an Hausa too when he was taken to Brazil in 2014 as “non playing captain” to aid him in earning his 100 caps…? Now it has reached Musa’s turn tribal and religious bigots are wailing about the National team captain who is still hale, active and still performing…..LMAOOOo. Una never cry finish, una tears still dey cooler……una go cry the cry reach 2022…..LMAOooo.

I’m sorry to deliver sad news to you….Musa doesnt need to be “fitted” into the current National team…..he has already been fitted into the team for 10 years now and currently is the NATIONAL TEAM CAPTAIN….respect that. In those 10 years he has become the best winger we’ve had since Segun Odegbami. Musa does not need to lace any of Finid or Amuneke’s boots….None of them is Nigeri’s all time record scorer at the biggest stage of football in the world. Nigeria’s ALL TIME World cup topscorer cannot bow to anyone to lace their boots. A person who has scored 4 World cup goals and made top 10 goals on both occasions despite playing as a winger like them wouldnt lace anybody’s boots. They are the ones who should bow to him when they see him and lace his boots.

Pls who made Finidi the best right winger in world football….? LMAOOoooo..Pls in which award ceremony was that title awarded…? He didnt make 1994 AFCON XI, neither did he make 1994 or 1998 World cup XI, nor 1995 UCL XI. He has never made fifpro XI neither has he been nominated as for the ballor d’or…..so pls, tell us who, where, when and how finidi was the best winger in world football…..LMAOOoo….whenyou can do that, me I will temm you when and where the match between India and Nigeria which ended 99-1 was played…..LMAOOoo. Tell us where that record is lets go and see it too.

Musa has 16 goals and 15 assists as a winger for the SE, pls tell us which one of Fnidi, Babangida, or Amuneke delivered 16 goals and/or 15 assists in their time. If you say Musa played 98 matches and his 31 goal contributions are paltry…..pls give us the goal contribution ratio of your other wingers for the SE…..LMAOOOoo. Amunike won AFOTY by virtue of his winning the CAF CL in 93, CAF super cup, and the Egyptian League and cup and the AFCON all within the same footballing year….He was awarded the honour having been the only african footballer to have won every CAF organized tournament for that calendar, not solely because he was hitting double digits in goals or assists for the super eagles every game that year. Victor Ikpeba has never even been a winger, he has been a centre forward everywhere he went and including the in SE, so why you want to desperately lump him into you comparisons just as you lumped Amokachi and IK Uche just because you want to desperately prove to us that Ahmed Musa has been useless to Nigeria is baffling…..LMAOOOOo….I dont know why a socalled “partaker” in football chooses to compare a winger with centre forwards just in his desperation to rubbish another man’s hardwork over the years……LMAOoooo.

One moment a fit and firing Musa was going to world cup by “free pass” yet has put himself in the African/World record books at the World cup, but an Amokachi and Amuneke who attended tournaments clearly UNFIT did so without “free passes”….LMAoooo. Even with all your desperation you are still failing….LMAOOoo….because unlike you stats and records can never lie. I dont know how else you want football to be understood other than what history and the record books tell us. Did finidi et al deliver more assists as SE wingers or did they score more goals than MUSA…? Did their goals ever make top 10 goals scored at the world cup back to back like Musa’s….? Where they pacier or more adept in getting behind defences than Musa…? So tell us your own understanding of football o….Mr “I-played-at-the-highest-level-of-football” turned to “I-was-only-a-trialist in Europe” turned to “affiliate of a local league team” now turned to “partaker”….LMAOOooo (I love the humility in your appelations these days). You can explain to us how a man ended up contributing at least 1 goal every 3 matches for 98 games without being talented, yet those you compare him with didnt. If you like let Finidi et al play for Real Heaven and Earth FC during their playing days……till you can give us another winger who contributed 1 goal every 3 games he played for the SE or more, AHMED MUSA REMAINS THE BEST SUPER EAGLES WINGER SINCE SEGUN ODEGBAMI. Finis and Klaar….!

Whom God has blessed, NO MAN can curse. Cry harder my brother, cry harder…..LMAOOooo. Remember to take small Aspirin or Alabukun for the headache that results from your gnashing of teeth o

Did you hear the analysts/commentators last verdict…?Incase you didn’t, let me transcribe it for you….LMAOOoooo.

“…Ahmed Musa did a lot in his little time on the pitch, nice performance for the (then) NPFL player tonight….”

But games like these or the one in which he gave an assist and earned a penalty vs Tunisia will never come to the minds of ethic bigots and haters o. It is the one he was awarded 4/10 in an entirely poor team performance they will remember…..LMAoooo. Maybe he was 18yrs old in those ones where he performed well.
