Vice captain of Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa has expressed his optimism that his national team skipper, John Obi Mikel’s experience and winning mentality Can inspire English Championship side Middlesbrough to earn promotion back to the EPL, Completesports.com reports.
Musa who is mourning his mother Sarah Musa in Jos Nigeria says Mikel who joined Championship side Middlesbrough as a free agent after featuring for Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda has what it takes to inspire the club to top the tier of the English football
“Mikel did not make mistake joining a championship side because I am sure he would lead the club straight to the Premier League,” Musa stated.

“Mikel has a winning aura and I believe this will rub on the entire Middlesbrough team in their fight to gain promotion
“I believe Mikel saw the potential in the club before agreeing to join them and with a manager like Tony Pulis in charge, they will fight to be among the promoted clubs at the end of the season,” the former Leicester star enthused.
Mikel, a former Chelsea player, has already tasked himself with instilling The Blues’ kind of winning mentality in his Middlesbrough teammates in their quest to earn promotion from the second tier English Championship back to the Premier League.
