Musa Set To Join Turkish Club Fatih Karagümrük

Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa has agreed to join Turkish Super Lig club Fatih Karagumruk, Completesports.com reports.

According to Turkish online news hub Skorer , the modest club will announced his arrival this week.

Musa , who was previously linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas will sign as a free agent.

“We are ready for the holiday! Let our fans get ready, holiday gifts are on the way,” Karagümrük Vice President Serkan Hurma was quoted by the website.

Musa joined Nigeria Professional Football League outfit Kano Pillars on a short-term deal in April.

The 28-year-old was without a club for five months before linking up with the four-time NPFL champions.

The versatile winger parted ways with Saudi Professional League club Al Nassr on October 25, 2020.

Musa began his European expedition at Eredivisie side VVV Venlo and his impressive performances at the Dutch side saw him sign for Russian top-flight side CSKA Moscow.

Having won three Premier League titles, one Russian Cup and two Russia Super Cups with the Horses in his four-year spell, he joined Leicester City on July 8, 2016, for a club record of £16.6 million at that time.

Following his inability to tie down a regular place at the King Power Stadium, he was sent back to CSKA Moscow on loan, before teaming up with Al Nassr in 2018 on a permanent deal.

The Asian outfit beat several European clubs to the signing of the speedy forward who impressed at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia with two goals in three matches.

Just two days ago Dr. Drey said this deal was about to be closed and Musa will return to Europe football. My questions are:

    1. How did he (Dr.Drey) know ahead of us all, this is not a mere prediction
    2. How come we didn’t see this coming when Musa had not featured for his Kano Pillers recent matches
    3. Will this bring to rest ‘the Musa witch hunting’ by OmoNaija and gang because Musa ‘being no get club’
    4. Does this not clearly beautify Dr.Drey as miles ahead of us in this forum?
    5. Is this an underlining fact that we have to humble and listen to Dr.Drey as a FACT BANK on SUPER EAGLES matters?

Barka de sallah to my friends

    • Well, it’s has been reported few days ago that Musa is about to sign a deal with a Russian club(name withheld) that’s worth 2.2billion naira per year. So the news has been around for some time only that the club wasn’t mentioned, the difference now is that there has been a twist from Russian club to Turkish but, that doesn’t take anything away from Dr Drey as FACTBANK as you call him.

The guy is one of the few people here that comment reasonably with facts n figures

      • Chris 3 years ago

That Dr.Drey aka FACTBANK is official.

For those that choose not to bank with the FACTBANK, (bad-belle is allowed) you only wish the bank will go bankrupt but in actual fact, the bank is getting it right most of the time.

Bank with ‘the FACTBANK’ and get your facts all right.

        • Musa going to a midtable Turkish team is manageable considering the fact that he is a sacred cow that can’t be sacrificed on the alter of merit….At least the shame is lesser…. imagine super eagles captain unable to secure an overseas football contract is unthinkable…..Na so we see am

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Thank God you know that as NATIONAL TEAM CAPTAIN, and the best Winger Nigeria has ever had after Segun Odegbami, with 96 caps under his belt and more to come, he has earned a right to be a sacred cow that can not be sacrificed just like that…LMAOo

          • JimmyBall 3 years ago

…@Dr.Drey… Are you kidding me? Musa Ahmed best winger after Segun Odegbami? Where you keep Finidi, Amuneke, Babangida, Ikpeba? Musa Ahmed 96caps is largely because he is almost untouchable in Super Eagles especially these days because of the powers interested in him… Musa Ahmed no fit wash Finidi George jersey my friend… make we talk true!

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hehehehehe….Ahmed Musa, 16 goals, 15 assists, Nigeria’s All time top World cup top scorer with 4 world cup goals, despite being a winger….pls tell us how many goals and assists you super finidis and the rest get for Super Eagles in their decade long international careers…..LMAOO. Stats and figures don’t lie. Argue with the record books…LMAOOoo.

          • JimmyBall 3 years ago

…@Dr.Drey… Ok. Ahmed Musa has played 96games with a return of paltry 16goals says it all. Considering he is a forward… that’s quite unimpressive, let’s not herald his 4goals in the world cup as if those goals took us far… even 38yrs old Roger Milla has that in just one world cup… perhaps if Amuneke, Amokachi, Uche Kalu had the kind of free pass always accorded Ahmed Musa and went to multiple world cups fit without injury issues (Amokachi 1998), Amuneke did not attend 1998 and Uche Kalu only went to one World cup… those guys all had two goals from their first ever world cup… they would have definitely eclipsed Musa’s record… Finidi and Babangida at their prime had the talent to represent the famous Dutch masters… Ajax Amsterdam. Could Musa ever dream of going within 50miles of Ajax Amsterdam stadium not to talk of jostling for jerseys with the likes overmars, De Boar, Jari Litmanen, Seedorf and the rest… Lol. Musa go shit for pants if him step into pitch with those guys wey finidi and Kanu mix am with… Shoe get size brother Drey and you know.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha…first of all clean your lies from your mouth. Ahmed Musa has always been a SE WINGER, not a center forward like Amokachi and Uche….LMAO…stop being desperate to blackmail him….LMAO. He has ALWAYS been a WINGER…compare apples to apples not apples to banana….LMAOOO….compare Musa to your Finidi and Amuneke not to Amokachi or Uche.

16 goals and 15 assists equals 31 goals contributions in 98 matches, that’s almost an average of 1 goal contributions in every 3 games. PLEASE mention any other SE winger dead on alive apart from Chief Segun Odegbami to have such stats as a WINGER…LMAOOo. Shame catch am e wan begin compare Winger to Center Forwards. 1 goal contribution every 3 games is “paltry”….LMAOOoo…pls show us any winger in the history of Nigeria with such paltry average or even better….LMAOOO. All of a sudden Ahmed Musa has a free pass to the national team, pls tell us the players his “free pass” blocked from the national team in the years 2014 and 2018 and the years leading to both world cups.

We should not herald his 4 goals in the world cup but FIFA never stops heralding it. His 1st goal vs Argentina in 2014 made top 10goals of the world cup that year, his 2nd goal vs Iceland in 2018 also made top 10 goals, but hatred filled religious and section bigot says we shouldnt herald it.

One moment he says Musa had “free passes” to the world cups, the next moment he claims Amunike, Amokachi and Kalu didnt, and then claims they went to world cups UNFIT….LMAOOoo…..sorry please who went to world cups on free passes now…????

The last time I checked, Amokachi went to both 1994 and 98 world cups, while Uche choose to be NFF errand boy saboteur along with Fashionista Yobo and missed out of a place in the world cup. Oga fashionista woke up form slumber quickly and apologized, Uche was banking on NFF powers to pull through until Keshi showed him who the true BIG BOSS is. Some people want to tell us white lies straight to our face once more o. Contry pipo make una run come see o…..some people want to re-write the history we were part of because of their hatred for MUSA o. You claim Musa was always having free passes, is it the free passes that has also made him a CSKA Moscow legend till today….? Is it also the free pass that has earned him a €2m per year deal in Turkey today…? Was it his free passes that put 4 goals in the net at 2 world cups…? Pls if there is any other player who can guarantee 2 world cup goals in every 3 world cup games, NFF should as a matter of urgency give such player his own free pass too ASAP….we dont want people who call themselves stars but forget how to play ball once they reach the world cup. People wey go world up with injuries nor get free pass…..na Ahmed Musa wey go 2 world cups, fit and inform, hammer 4 goals naim get free pass. Can you all see how hatred turns human beings to imbeciles. Desperation to ridicule musa make a full grown man wey claim say he go school to dey compare winger with Centre forwards.

Ahmed Musa is a Forward his 16 goals and 15 assists is paltry, abeg na defender Finidi be…..abi na goalkeeper Amunike be. Maybe Babangida na SE ball boy during in days and Garba Lawal must have been the team bus driver…..LMAOOoo. Hatred has a way of blocking people’s reasoning sha.

Musa cannot go within 50 miles of Ajax Amsterdam Stadium….LMAOOOo, someone has forgotten the same Musa moved straight from the local league to VVV Venlo in the same Dutch league that houses Ajax (something your MANY TALENTS have been unable to do in close to 15 years now) and scored 2 goals against Ajax right there in the same Stadium in one of 2 seasons he spent in the Netherlands. The same Ajax wanted to sign him afterwards but CSKA put more money on the table and took him to Russia and made him their LEGEND that he is today.

Pls look for more lies to tell us….LMAO…16 goals and 15 assists from a winger is “paltry”. 4 world cup goals should not be heralded….LMAO. Amunke and Amokachi went to world cup with injuries to go and score 1 goal each in 2 WCs, but them no get free pass o. Fit and firing CSKA legend wey fire 4 solid goal of the tournament goals as a winger naim get “free pass”. e easy to get 4 world cup goals naim your Finidi and Amunike, fellow WINGERS like Ahmed Musa no score even half for the 2 world cups wey dem go…? He easy to make paltry 1 goal contribution in every 3 games as a winger naim dem sef no equal the same paltry contribution…??

            Nonsense upon ingredients.

        • @Chris or should I say @Dr Drey who are you fooling?? Dr Drey is in no way above anybody on this forum in terms of footballing knowledge we were all aware that Musa has talks in Turkey and will be leaving Kano Pillars infact @Chris or whatever you clall yourself it is was also well documented that Musa stay in Kano Pillars was temporary subject to him finding a better club in Europe. My thing was NFF and Musa Cronies were shoving it down our throat that he is moving to England when I clearly stated MUSA IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY IN ENGLAND, GERMANY, SPAIN or ITALY just calling a spade a spade. This should by no means guarantee him a place in SE he should prove that he can keep a regular place in that team then we can talk that is how things in a normal civilised world should work. not here were sentiments and bad dealings are rife.. The fact we don’t comment on this thread is because it is not exciting there are a lot more exciting talents that CSN should be reporting on not pushing this old Musa agenda that is quite simply not serving the SE any good.

        • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hehehehehe…..@Chris thanks for the acknowledgement, you are highly honored. Abeg I no be bank o…..make army-robbers no come target me…Lol. Be that as it may, I just ensure the veracity of my claims before putting them in the public domain…that’s what 2 decades in the business of research and development has taught me….Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Information is power, I read wide (including the same owngoalnigeria some worthless beings like @chima eberibe smauel called a fake site which publishes lies and fake news but couldnt point out till today which of their last 30 news headlines were fake news or lies), I watch live games (even at odd hours), read books and biographies and watch documentaries, I contact and communicate with people who are in the know of happenings, in addition to the sporting history I am already part of….these are the ingredients that form whatever I put down on this forum. Not some bias, sentiment or wannabe-ism.

Thanks once again for the acknowledgement. You are highly honored, but beware, they will come for you as from today o. You will be regarded as a member of that exclusive club of clones, disciples or multiple identities of Dr.Drey….LMAooo

          • Chai @Dr Drey you get time, to dey clone your sef up and down? na wa ooo wonders shall never end… Abeg complete sports nor go kill peson joor God forbid. God day

          • Chris 3 years ago

@Dr.Drey I know what I was getting myself into and I knew they will come after me but truth be told, I admire the effort you make to give us ‘sunlight’ in this dark CSN room.

I know I speak the minds of those who don’t have the time to type on keyboards in response to thanking you for standing for the truth.

I will do my best to follow the steps of your success the way you have grown big… ‘we rise by lifting others’ only if they accept in humility to see they need to be lifted.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

@Hehehehe…..go use water wash the pepperbody wey dey disturb you @ugo. LMAOOoo. I’m cloning myself indeed. Its not longer Dr.Drey has disciples or Dr.Drey uses multiple IDs….LMAOoo.

        • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Dr.Drey…lol. So because you want to win today now… a winger is no longer a forward in your FACTBANK dictionary of football? When Musa scored 18goals in NPFL, when he scored 4goals combined in two world cup… he was just a winger and not a forward. No be only winger… Musa has always been a striker, it’s just that in the world of international and top club professional football, a more bodied and tall lad is preferred in centre forward position… You know this because of various playing advantages… aerial contest, strength on the ball and power… however, nothing takes from it that Musa is a forward regardless whether he plays from the flank or through the middle… I am shocked that you hailed his goal scoring prowess on one hand now and want to extricate him from the duties of a forwards tied to goal returns choosing to classify him instead as a serviceman(crosser)… talk about choosing easy leeways to push your point… Lol… 16goals
in 96games for any forward is poor… I am amused that I have to try to convince you that all wingers and centrforwards especially in 442,433 and except partially in 4231 are roundly forwards expected to contribute goals haul also…

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Who looks like one who is desperate to win even when he has been roundly defeated with facts and figures…? From comparing Ahmed Musa with Finidi, babangida and amuneke, you quickly shifted to Amokachi and Ike Uche…..LMAOOO…from there shifted to making excuses for Amokachi and Amuneke that they went to the world cup INJURED….LMAO…fat liar, yet that to you was not a “free pass”, but a fit and firing ahmed musa attending world cups and scoring 4 goals to be Nigeria’s all time world cup topscorer only was good enough to play at the world cup because of a “free pass”….LMAO. When you discovered how stupid that one sounded you shifted to playing in the Amsterdam Arena (as if that concerns SE)….. when that one proved useless you quickly redefined Ahmed Musa’s role in the national team as if it wasnt the same role other WINGERS played during their time…or as if its not the same number of world cups they’ve all attended. So pls tell us, who is the desperado who would do anything including telling lies and ducking and dodging to cover his shame at another round of resounding defeat…?

Your finidis, babangidas and Amuneke’s must be defenders and ball boys then. Otherwise, they should have scored more than the “PALTRY” 16 goals and 15 assists or 1 goal contribution every 3 games Musa has delivered as a SE player so far. No wonder you chose not to compare Musa with them and quickly rushed to comparing his returns with the likes of Amokachi and Uche Kalu who played as Centre Forwards….LMAOooo….yet still failed at undermining his returns. You for kuku compare Ahmed Musa with Rasheedi Yekini too na….LMAOooo since as a “forward” Yekini was also operating from 7 or 11 position like Ahmed Musa…..LMAOooo

From arguing about Musa being the best Winger Nigeria has ever had after Segun Odegbami, he his jumping fences from lane to lane comparing apples to cocoyams telling us about 4451 and 5541 formations….. LMAOooo. FACTS AND STATs have once again given him a dirty slap in the face…..LMAOOo….and the nausea the slap gave him is making him switch discussions from right to left….LMAOOo

Mr stick to the topic and provide us with the stats of the “Avalanche of goals” “Forwards” like Finidi, Babangida and Amunike who also played from wings like Musa scored and the number of matches they played….lets see those who really made “paltry” goal contributions. Abi those ones too nor be forwards…? Maybe their own formations was 23456 or 57821…so they played as box to box ball boys during their time.

Till when you can do that, with 4 WC goals and total of 16 goals and 15 assists, Ahmed Musa remains the Winger Nigeria has ever had after Segun Odegbami. Argue with the record books. If you like call him attacking striker and the rest defensive goalkeepers, No hatred or tribal and religious bigotry can erase his records from the history books….LMAOOoo. Facts dont lie….Stat do not lie

  • JimmyBall 3 years ago

… all of you guys hailing @Dr.Drey here as if he is some football god or oracle should ask also ask him if we should drop our top 5 league invitation criteria now… because this Musa Ahmed club no join at all, I can’t even remember the club name after reading about it today. The other reality to check with is… with Dennis now at Watford and likely to be playing week-in… Week-out, and the likes of multiple flank players we have in better teams and league… Where will Musa fit? When we talk of double standards… You have it with Ahmed Musa… Lol. What’s the name of that his club again…. Karamurki something like that… hahahaha.

    • @jimmyball na so we see am o….lolz…. double standard at its peak….rules are supposed to be rules so that we can get result that everyone will be happy with…..but that is not the case here because other players have to meet up with the standard of getting into big leagues while to some players Cyprus league will get them into the national team first eleven…..Now how do we reward a player like Onyeka who took the risk of moving to the EPL from Denmark….. Dennis from Belgium to EPL….These players moved from their comfort zone to challenge their ability but later they come to the national team and sit on the bench while players hiding in midtable clubs in turkey and Cyprus will be playing football on the pitch…..And you want result?….I trust oga Rhor when tornament reach he will just tell you guys the bitter truth…. you can not eat your cake and have it…..d tigers is an example.

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Liars have come again o. Pls name the Cyprus and Turkish midtable club players who have been guaranteed starters/regulars in the SE over other available options from the top leagues…..Pls dont disappear and run away from the question like your brother who has been asked to produce and justify his own list of 24 best Nigerian players but suddenly developed cerebral palsy afterwards…..LMAOOoo

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Which one pains you more, that Musa apparently will continue to remain in the national team now that he has had his wish to return to Europe because your religious and sectional bigotry hasnt been enough to stand in his way, or that your beloved son Junior Ajayi (5 league goals per season average in Egyptian league) in whom you are well pleased will never smell the Super Eagles camp again….LMAOOooo

      • @ drey I don’t care about religion or tribe….all I want is for SE to win trophies for us to use as bragging rights as per fan that we are…..My point is We should raise the standard of our national team…. If we say top5 leagues let it be top5 league…..Our main players should know that they can be dropped if they don’t play at the highest level…..This will encourage them to challenge themselves and move to bigger leagues…..At the end we all gain….. Nobody hates musa,if he is dropped,it is not the end of the world for him but a wake up call for him to improve on himself….. imagine shehu playing in Cyprus and even making our list ,on what basis?I doubt if he will make Kenya’s national team with his club moves for some seasons now…..Nobody should be guaranteed a slot in The SE no matter what you have done in the past…..If we do this our national team will be competing with the Best in the world….mark my word

        • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

How many options over the years do we have in Shehu’s position playing in top leagues. If the desirable is not available will the available not become desirable…? We desire to have all our mdifielders playing in the top leagues, but at the moment we cant have enoguh yet, would we not make use of the ones we have for now, while hoping more like Onyeka will start daring to move to the big leagues…? The same Shehu has proven himself at CHAN under Keshi, proven himself at the U20 WC under John Obuh, proven himself at the Olympics under Siasia, has never put a foot wrong in a SE jersey, has proven to be able to play multiple positions, has played in the Portuguese league, so why shouldn’t he make the SE list if we dont have as many options in his position playing in the top leagues as we do in our striking positions…? Even at that, Shehu is not even a guaranteed starter, not even for the SE second XI if ALL our players are fit and available. Maybe we should convert Onuachu and Simy to DMs since your boss has told us (as per former “AFFLILIATE” wey him be…LMAOoo) there are no Natural positions in football, professional footballers can play EVERYWHERE on the pitch. LMAOooo.
There’s no need sugar coating it, the sectional/bigoted motives of many of you are as clear as daylight in summer. Some of you wouldnt mind if Shehu and Musa were from their states.

Stop worshipping white skin… if you say indegenous coaches take bribe… pay them well and don’t owe them. We have not heard of bribery allegation with Aliou Cisse or Belmadi… We have not heard of bribery with Ndubuisi Egbo, Kennedy Boboye and even Emmanuel Amuneke… NFF who abhores bribery are the ones railroading Coach Salisu Yusuf back to second Rohr… even Rohr will call for a man known to be a bribe taker to come help him… Would Rohr have sided with that in France or his native Germany? Please read from Pitso Mosimane:
