‘My Dad Always Encouraged Me To Watch Henry’s Clips At Arsenal’  –Oyedeji

Arsenal forward, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji says his father always encourages him to watch the clips of former Gunners legend, Thierry Henry in order to become a better player.

Oyedeji made this known in Arsenal Matchday programme, where he gives a background analysis of his root.

Having been groomed at Arsenal’s Hale End Academy, Oyedeji is also qualified to play for England’s Three Lions.

“My paternal lineage is Nigerian, while my maternal side is from St. Vincent. Butler comes from my mother’s family, while Oyedeji is from my father’s side.”

Reflecting on his playing style, he further added, “My father always inspired me to study the techniques of forwards like Thierry Henry, but I was equally captivated by the skills of Ronaldinho.”

Joining Arsenal at a mere age of eight, Oyedeji inked a professional deal in the summer season of 2021.
