Defender Nacho looks set to remain with Real Madrid for another season despite the prospect of reduced game time. The 29-year-old has been with Los Blancos since the age of 11, rising through the youth ranks to make his first-team debut in April 2011.
The versatile stopper has gone on to make 190 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals along the way, but it seems Real are open to offers this summer. Coach Zinedine Zidane is hoping to raise funds to bring in another new face and, with four players ahead of him in the pecking order, it seems Nacho is surplus to requirements.
However, according to Marca, the Spain international wants to stay at the Bernabeu for the 2019-20 campaign and will fight for his place in the side. Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Eder Militao and Jesus Vallejo look to be ahead of him and so it may well be a season of frustration for Nacho.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
