Ndidi Gets Low Rating, Iheanacho Average In Leicester’s Home Loss To Fulham

Wilfred Ndidi got a poor rating while Kelechi Iheanacho got average as Leicester suffered a 1-0 defeat to Fulham at the King Power on Tuesday.

The rating was done by Leicester Mercury and was for every Leicester players who featured against Fulham.

Leicester City endured a torrid start to the new year as they lost another home game and saw more players succumb to injury.

Boos rang around at full-time after Aleksandar Mitrovic’s first-half finish consigned City to a third-straight loss since Premier League football resumed. They could be just a point above the relegation zone by the end of the week

And after the disappointing defeat, Ndidi was rated four out of 10 while Iheanacho was was awarded five.

And commenting on Ndidi’s performance, Leicester Mercury wrote: “He gave the ball away for the goal, and continued to give it away throughout the rest of the match. With City dominant in possession in the second half, there was little point in him being on the pitch. City improved when he was taken off.”

And for Iheanacho: “He set up Perez’s chance with his flick around the corner. Otherwise, the only impact he had on the game was that his introduction led to a change in shape that Fulham took time to get to grips with.”

Ndidi has been rubbish on the pitch for about a year now, particularly with Super Eagles. He is fading fast into oblivion.

Infact the Super Eagle team, particularly the midfield need personnel change with strong, energetic and fit younger players. I can’t see anyway the current SE can get to AFCON 2024 Qtr final with weak, lackaidasical players it parades apart from Osimhen, Lukeman and 2 others.

I told Dem already any player whose team is in relegation on league table wil only play 10mins or benched for reserve.

You used to be Rohr and now you are Peseiro. How come you never became Eguavoen?

  • Real age has caught with the guy, the ease at which he get injure and the lengthy rate of recovery is a pointer.

Some of this our so call young players might not just be that young anyway. May be is high time we started looking for their replacement in egeals.

  • I agree with you Tony. Most of our players are not up to scratch, even for their clubs they are underperforming. I therefore think that the super Eagles should overhaul the team, retain about a few player’s like osimhen, lookman, Bassey, iwobi, etc and then scout for stronger and more talented players who will be more committed and would give the team more in terms of dedication and hunger to win.

Well said Brotherman. Even Onazi is far better than Ndidi.

Ndidi is far gone, both in age that has caught with him and performance. Leicester will soon offload him and Ihenacho. Enugu Renger will surely welcome them both with open arms.

  • It’s very unfortunate for ndidi.l guess these are the reasons why teams like real Madrid and Manchester United weren’t jostling for his signature. They have seen things about him that we didn’t see. We have been waiting for quite some time when we gonna hear the news that ndidi has joined a bigger club. But unfortunately, it never comes to fruition. I thank God that we didn’t qualify for the last world cup. Honestly speaking, we would have been disgraced. It was a blessing in disguise that Ghana covered our impending disaster that could have happened to the super eagles

It is true that age is catching up with Ndidi….If we can remember Ndidi failed the MRI scan in 2013 which prevented him from going to the U17 WC with them iheanacho and was only Integrated into the U20 squad in 2015……So age might actually be catching up with him and he probably was at his peak when he was churning out great ball winning numbers few seasons ago.

    • Footballfanatic 1 year ago

Sorry he played both 2013 & 2015 U20 worldcups as we know the U20 don’t require and MRI test..At that time his managers claimed he was tall and his built was a reason the MRI machine came about such result lol..But Ndidi is still a great player and I hope he can get back to full fitness if he is still within the age he claims cuz it’s hard to cheat nature..
