Ndidi Gets Very Good Ratings, Iheanacho Average In Leicester’s Win At West Brom

Wilfred Ndidi got very good rating after helping Leicester defeat West Brom 2-1 away in the Championship on Saturday.

But it was not the same for Kelechi Iheanacho who was awarded average rating.

The ratings which was done by Leicester Mercury, saw Ndidi get seven out of 10 while Iheanacho had five.

Ndidi recorded his fourth assist in the Championship and fifth in all competitions this season in the win at the Baggies.

He set up Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the opening goal with 20 minutes left to play.

The Super Eagles midfielder reached the ball on the right and swung in a perfect delivery from the byline which Dewsbury-Hall nodded home.

Nigerian striker Josh Maja equalised for West Brom on 89 minutes before Harry Winks netted the winner in the 94th minute for Leicester.

Commenting on Ndidi’s performance, Leicester Mercury wrote: “He was relentless in his support runs for his winger down the right and that persistence paid off as he delivered a peach of a cross for Dewsbury-Hall’s opener. His pressing in the first half was good too.”

For Iheanacho, the media outfit stated: “It was another performance in which he was far from his best. But credit must be given to him, because despite fans getting frustrated with him, he kept his head to send Dewsbury-Hall away at the death.”

The win at West Brom means Leicester stay top in the league table ahead of Ipswich.
