  • Best news so far. We definitely missed your game reading, strength, commitment and winning mentality. We have to be honest by pointing out that if Ndidi was available for our qualifiers, we would have achieved better results.

Ndidi is good with African teams and can adjust to the ruggedness, toughness & physicality.he covers ground, isn’t afraid to put a foot in & knows how to destabilize attacks. I would point out that it’s better he recovered from the lingering injury first and at this time thank later on. I suspected since his injury commenced last season that he wasn’t fully recovered but Leicester boss stated he is naturally fit and recovers quick. Fact is He needed a break.

I hope he got enough rest & family time especially with his new born. This hopefully will rejuvenate him to take his game to the next level & be fit in the long run especially for our last two qualifying games.

Wish you an injury free year Capitano without arm band.

    Kbaba,

    sofun won.

He gave away the free kick that marez converted. Not disputing he is Nigeria’s best at the moment but not up to the standard set by mikel. S.E needs a perfect Mikel replacement as soon as possible.

  • Good news, glad to hear it. Hope you return better and fitter than ever.

  • One of the challenges we face in the Super Eagles is the expectations of fans. Every fan wants the team to be full of enterprising players who are capable of doing extraordinary things on the field. But when these extraordinary players retire, they want an exact duplicate of that same player to take their place and we all know that is very difficult.
When a world class player retires from active duty, the best one can hope for is to find a descent and effective player to replace them.
We have seen it in our darling SUPER EAGLES. Players like okocha, kanu, finidi, rashidi were replaced with mikel, ighalo, musa, emenike. They were not as potent as their predecessors but they did a good job. And now we have players like ndidi, Aribo, osimhen, chukwueze standing in for Mikel, onazi, ighalo, Victor moses and even though they are yet to reach the heights of their predecessors, they are also doing a decent job and with time may exceed all expectations.
So what im trying to point out is whenever a player retires and another player replaces them we should try to focus on the strengths of the new player and what they add to the team instead of comparing them to their predecessors and finding faults when they make an error. Every player makes a mistake at one point or the other on the field of play.
We may never find another okocha, kanu, finidi etc but we hope to find players that can do a decent job when asked to play in their position and who knows maybe one day we can find players who will be better than them.
