Ndidi Rues Leicester City Defeat To Watford

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is disappointed to see Leicester City go down to a 2-1 defeat against Watford in Sunday’s English Premier League fixture at the Vicarage Road, reports Completesports.com.

The Foxes put up a brave fight in the game which was Brendan Rodgers first in charge of the team but in the end failed to get a positive result.

It was the seventh defeat in nine games for the former Premier League champions.

Watford skipper Troy Deeney opened scoring for the home team in the first half before Jamie Vardy levelled scores for Leicester City after the break.

Andre Gray’s goal in additional time handed all three points to the home team in the keenly contested game.

“Disappointing result, but we keep working,” Ndidi wrote on his Twitter handle after the game.

The Foxes dropped down to 11th spot in the log and have 35 points from 29 games.

Ndidi has featured in 27 Premier League games for Leicester City this season.

His international teammate Kelechi Iheanacho came on for Jamie Vardy in the 83rd minute of the defeat for Leicester City.

Watford’s Nigerian forward Isaac Success was an unused substitute in the game.

Leicester City will face Fulham in their next game on Saturday while Watford travel to the Etihad to face champions, Manchester City.
