Ndidi Seeks End To Leicester’s Winless Run On EPL 2020/21 Matchday-1 Vs West Brom

Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi will be hoping to help Leicester City end a Premier league winless opening day fixture when The Foxes travel to the Midlands on Sunday to confront newcomers, West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Leicester City are yet to win an opening day fixture since the 2015/16 season when goals from Jamie Vardy, Marc Albrighton and a brace from Riyad Mahrez gave them a 4-2 win over Sunderland at the King Power stadium.

The Foxes have lost three and drawn one of the four fixtures since the 2016/17 season and Ndidi has featured in three of the games following his move from modest Belgian side, Genk in January 2017.

Leicester lost 2-1 to Hull City in the opening day fixture before Ndidi joined the club five months later but the Nigerian was in the side that lost 4-3 to Arsenal at the Emirates in the 2017/18 opening day game for the Foxes, featuring for all 90 minutes in the game.
