Ndidi Starts, Iheanacho Subbed On In Leicester Big Win At Huddersfield

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi made his 33rd Premier League start for Leicester City’s in 4-1 away win against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.

Strikes in each half from Youri Tielemans and Jamie Vardy gave the Foxes a two goal lead before Aaron Mooy halved the deficit from the spot in the 52nd minute for Huddersfield Town who are already relegated.

James Maddison restored Leicester’s two goal lead, neting the Foxes’ third goal before Vardy put the game beyond Huddersfield Town’s with his second of the game from the spot.

Ndidi was replaced in the 87th minute by Hamza Choudhury.

The win was the fourth straight victory for Brendan Rodgers since he succeeded Claude Puel.

Ndidi’s compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho, was subbed on in additional time of the encounter.

The 22 year old Nigeria international who has failed to start a game in his last 13 EPL games replaced Vardy.

At the Vitality stadium, Bournemouth lost 3-1 at home to Burnley.

An owngoal from Ashley Barnes gave hosts Bournemouth an early lead in the fourth minute, but strikes from Chris Woods, Ashley Westwood and Barnes secured a crucial win for Burnley.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace returned to winning ways defeating Newcastle United by a lone goal.

A penalty from Luka Milivojevic secured a hard fought win for the Eagles at St James Park.
