Nnewi United on Tuesday, pipped All Stars FC 3-0 in the second semi-final match at the Neros Stadium Nanka through Samson Oni’s brace (6′, 61′) and Pius Emmanuel’s 90th minute goal.
Ewulu’s Anaedo Lions will face Peace FC of Awka in the final on Saturday, to vie for the title and N2million prize money.

Ewulu describes Nnewi United’s final berth at the 2022 Neros Pharmaceuticals Anambra FA Cup as a reward for hard work, revealing that the Anaedo Lions made winning the competition their objective since the beginning of the season.
“This qualification to the finals is a reward for hard work. From the beginning of the season, we said that in this particular competition this year, we must make an impact, from the state to the national level,” Ewulu, a Flying Eagles Assistant Coach as the Goalkeepers Trainer to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand told Completesports.com in Nanka.
The onetime Rangers goalkeeper added: “I feel so good that our efforts are yielding good results. My plan for the final is to approach the game without underatting any team.
“Though our opponents are seen as underdogs, they cannot be approached as pushovers because they are in the final, but from the start, never to allow them recover,” Ewulu concluded.
Peace FC coach, Michael Okoi, says the Neros Pharmaceuticals Anambra FA Cup trophy is only thing that matters as leads his team out in the final.
“Our target is the trophy and my boys are mentally ready for the final,” Okoi said after famous semi-final win against Aspire FC.
