Neuhaus Frustrated As Gladbach Held

Borussia Monchengladbach star Florian Neuhaus has revealed his frustration at their failure to take all three points in a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.

Neuhaus had put Gladbach 1-0 in front but they went on to miss numerous chances to kill off the game, before Werder hit back to take a share of the points.

The Gladbach star was annoyed they could not hold on but says it is important they now turn their attention to the rest of the season, with Hannover next up. “We played well, dominated the game for long periods and also had the better goal scoring chances,” he said. “Of course it annoys me that we wasted the opportunity to go 2-0 up and we need to work harder on taking our chances. “However, we showed a good reaction and should have got a deserved victory.

Now we want to concentrate on the upcoming game against Hannover and get the three points.” Gladbach are fifth in the table, just outside the Champions League places, and the dropped points could be costly. “We all know where we are in the table,” he added.

“Eintracht Frankfurt are now four points ahead of us, but we get nothing out of looking at where they are.

We need to win our games. We showed a good reaction today. We need to worker harder and then win the game against Hannover next week.”
