Newcastle are close to agreeing a deal to sign Jordan Lukaku on loan from Lazio for the rest of the season. Boss Rafael Benitez has been looking to sign a left-back after failing to add an extra option in the summer and a deal for Lukaku is expected to be confirmed on Friday.
The Belgian, whose brother Romelu plays for Manchester United, has been at I Biancocelesti since signing from Oostende in the summer of 2016, having previously played for Anderlecht.
Lukaku was part of his country’s squad at Euro 2016 and has seven caps for De Rode Duivels.
A medical is expected to take place on Thursday evening and the move comes on the back of him featuring just seven times in Serie A this season after he missed the opening months of the campaign due to a knee issue.
The 24-year-old is expected to join on loan for an initial 500,000 euros, with an option to buy outright in the summer for six million euros.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
