NFF: Bewerang Remains Our Techical Director

The Nigeria Football Federation has stated that Mr. Bitrus Bewarang remains the Technical Director of the football –governing body, and that at no time has the body called for applications from candidates for his position, not to talk of appointing anyone into the post.

“This clarification becomes necessary against the background of wide-circulating but totally misleading reports of the appointment of Mr. Daniel Amokachi, a former Super Eagles captain and coach, as head of NFF technical department,” Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh, said in Abuja on Wednesday. “The NFF has been bemused by this unfounded story, which no doubt must have embarrassed Mr. Amokachi himself.”

Yusuf Fresh, who is also member of the CAF Technical and Development Committee, commended His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, for appointing Amokachi as ambassador of Nigerian Football, saying that “Mr. Amokachi richly deserves this appointment as someone who served our dear nation meritoriously on the field of play as a player and coach.”

NFF’s Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, added that “while the NFF does not and will not foreclose the possibility of a major role for Ambassador Daniel Amokachi in the federation in the future, the truth is that presently, such an appointment has not been made.

“Ambassador Amokachi no doubt deserves all the regard and respect befitting his new role as an ambassador. He should not be dragged into needless controversies such as this. The NFF, once more, enjoins the generality of the media to retain the important work ethic of fact-checking and verification, and beware of empty wildfires lit by obscure online cells that lack any iota of credibility.”

    Hehehehehe…Orisirisi.

Plenty Wahala for Dead Body (Apologies to Fela Anikulapo Kuti). So so appointments and ‘dis-appointments’ for our glass house…! Inside stories for NFF go sweet o.

I can imagine all the intrigues playing out over appointments at the moment….from appointing 3 assistant coaches for our U17 falcons without appointing a head coach, to appointing someone who is not a coach as the Asst Coach of the SE (While the contract of the head coach is rolling to its end), to appointing and “dis-appointing” Amokachi as Technical Director (over the likes of Emenalo, Eguavoen and Sam Okpodu)

E b like say devil don rent office space for NFF secretariat o. LMAO

    Action film for Nigeria.

    • @Drey bro, this appointment & disappointment depicts a serious Crack in the unity amongst board members of the NFF who are feeling left out of major decision making of the glasshouse by the top 3 excos.

I see a Fuji house of commotion here lol.

Hehehehe…My brother….obviously there is serious power broking going on in that NFF currently…the type that saw a man who isnt a coach becoming Assistant Coach of the Mighty Super Eagles.

Its seemingly a battle between those who think they hold the Aces and those who think they cannot just be pushovers. As it is, its no retreat, no surrender…all hope is not lost…..Anybody can be appointed and anybody can be disappointed…Lolz.

No Wonder Ladan Bosso quickly jumped to the support of hiring a graduate assistant as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University. LMAO

  • Deo where art thou? We miss your constant well articulated contributions…hope it’s well? God keeps us all safe in Jesus Name Amen

Wonder shall never pafuka in this country. I am expecting more of this to happen though. Yes, is going to happen because we never learned from our mistakes.

If Nigerians have using Amaju, Diko and Sheyi for example, something like this wouldn’t have happened.

History will remember you Amaju and co.

However, I noticed that too my people. Deo and Ayphilldgreat my two old friends are not current on this forum anymore. I hope you guys are doing well?
