The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and League Management Company (LMC) have upheld the decision to end the 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Reports emerged on Tuesday that NPFL clubs have voted unanimoulsy to end the seaaon which was suspended in March due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
The NFF met with officials of the LMC as well as the 20 clubs in the NPFL in Abuja on Wednesday to take a final decision on the issue.
18 clubs voted for the Points Per Game (PPG) rule to determine the clubs that will the represent the country in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Enugu Rangers and Akwa United however opposed the rule.
League leaders Plateau United and second-placed Enyimba will play in the CAF Champions League, while Rivers United, who placed third will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Aiteo Cup holders Kano Pillars will join Rivers United in the CAF Confederation.
There will also be no relegation or promotion.
