CAF will inspect the facilities of all the interested countries between January 5 and 25.

CO-HOST WITH BENIN REPUBLIC: WHAT A BIG SHAME!!!
IN THE PAST AFCON HOSTING, WHEN A COUNTRY WITHOUT OIL(like Angola, Equatorial-guinea, Cameroon E t.c) CAN SINGLE-HANDEDLY HAVE SUBSTANTIVE HOSTING, SO WHAT BRING THE IDEA OF NIGERIA ( a country that have OIL) BIDDING TO HAVE JOINT HOST WITH BENIN REPUBLIC.
INFACT WE NEED TO BE ASHAME OF OURSELVES. WHY ARE WILL CALLING OURSELVES A GIANT OF AFRICA.

Oga did you say Angola and Cameroon don’t have oil??? Yes it’s a shame Nigeria is having joint bid with Benin. Infact after stadium inspection and all that their bid will not stand a chance against the other oppositions. Instead of us to put our house in order before coming out we are already preparing to loose a joint bid with Benin.

Nice talk @ I DEY SHAME.
Even there are so many countries (that didn’t have OIL including MINORITY countries) that are EVER-READY(if possible tomorrow) to host AFCON.
    *** COUNTRIES LIKE:
ALGERIA, MOROCCO, ZIMBABWE, TUNISIA, EGYPT,GABON, EQ.GUINEA, S/AFRICA,DR CONGO
But where are will going in this country. Common AFCON, we want to CO-HOST.

What is really happening in Nigeria is total nonsense
      Co-host can you imagine??

  • TALK UR OWN 1 year ago

    Even I was ashamed too.
I was made to understand that since the history of AFCON HOSTING, Nigeria only host it ONCE in 1980 and then CO-HOST in year2000. When so many countries (that are not blessed with OIL) have hosted AFCON more than TWO times.
    **GHANA =1963, ‘78,2003
    **ETHIOPIA =1962,’68, ’76
    **TUNISIA =1965, ’65, ‘94,2004
    **EGYPT =1959, ’74,’86,2006,2019(FIVE TIMES)
*** NIGERIA should be EVER READY to be hosting AFCON all the time**”
NIGERIA IS THE SAME LEVEL WITH Algeria,Eq.Guinea,Senegal,Libya, Ivory coast, Morocco, Angola,Mali,B/Faso,Gabon that hosted AFCON ONLY ONCE.
    ### Truely we need to be ASHAMED of ourselves. What is the ESSENCE of calling ourselves Giant of Africa.

So we have to depend on Ghanaian media outlets for important Nigerian news items… Are we getting better or worse?
