Completesports.com’s Live Blogging of the AFCON 2023 Round of 16 game between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
I think the rule is that the opposition has to be in front of the 2nd to the last player. Typically, the keeper is usually the last so most tunes the last defender is the 2nd to the last. In this case, the keeper wasn’t the last player and Ajayi was not in front of the 2nd to the last player.
The Last time it was a female from Morocco and today it’s a Moroccan male, at this point its easy to note that Caf is up to something since they don’t want anything good to come out of Nigeria after Zonal things they have resorted to be using Moroccans to torment us from last WAFCON not to AFCON. Issa Hayatou regime is slowly coming back!!!
How that guy is a professional footballer that even plays for 200m Nigerians is an ABRACADABRA to me. I think he’s from Kebbi; I won’t be surprised if it’s not LAYA BATA he uses. Only that this time, instead of him to disappear, it’s actually his limitations and faults DISAPPEARING from discerning eyes. Simple pass he can’t give.
Can anyone not see the swagger and freedom down the left wing as soon as he was substituted and BASSEY moved to left wing back? Bassey was comfortable on the ball and oh my…what a world class delivery he laid on the platter for ADEMOLA to score the decisive goal!
Going forward, BASSEY should play that left wing back and OMERUO should play on that left hand side CB
In just pray they don’t injure Victor Oshimen or take him out completely from the competition. Oshimen is the midfielder and striker. What happens if other teams comes to take him out.
That was some beautiful football, that’s what I”m talking about be creative with your tactics like I said we don’t have to depend on only oshimen for goal and I could see some improvement today. Peseiro you did well today actually the first time since you took over but I won’t raise my hope. However, congratulations to SE, you guys gave us something to cheer.Congratulations to all Nigerians.
Rubbish game. Zaidu is just crap, don’t know how he manage to get into this team. What makes him better than ebuehi. He is not pulling Weight at all, the midfield is dead, this is not a nigerian team i know. It’s like am watching under 20 playing. what a boring game.
Bad belle people how market? See as Peseiro and his boys silencing critics, ekong playing like prime Ramos, let’s finish this in the second half guys..
Osimhen is playing out of his mind. The speed of our attack is something I’m not sure I’ve ever seen before. Lookman put the ball straight on target. We might still score more in this game. I haven’t seen anything from Simon. Ekong is a rock of Gibraltar. Aina is amazing. Zaidu is short one. Let’s keep the energy going.
Today, I am very happy watching Nigeria. Every player is digging deep to do well. The Nigerian goalie has virtually been on vacation. Osimhen is keeping Cameroon occupied.
Actually, I just saw the replay. Ajayi too was offiside. I thought he was not and was only Osimhen before. The rule is if an opposing player is behind the keeper, even if his player is also behind him, it is offside
If most of the threat coming from Nigeria has been orchestrated by Oshimen, then there is a problem. Oshimen alone takes two opponents with him. This is why the other attacking players need to step up thier game. Oshimen cannot be doing the job of a striker and still be coming to the midfield to do the job of the midfielders. Ok, Onyeka is doing defensive midfield job. What is Iwobi and Simon doing in this match. Agreed Zaidu Sanusi has been putting his foot wrong in the attack but he has been doing his job defensively and so, we can cut him some slack. But what about Iwobi and Simon. They are just running around the pitch. The only person complementing Oshimen in the attack is Lookmon. Oshimen should not be coming to the midfield to retrieve ball when when have players in the midfield.
This is a very tactical game. If those players you mentioned were doing nothing, cameroon will be ahead but they are not. Every Niherian player is oiling the machine which so far is ticking along well. Let’s remain hopefui
See, the problem is that they are overworking Oshimen. I said they need to step up their game and take some of the pressure off Oshimen. How many good balls have Iwobi and Simon threaded to Oshimen in this match. I don’t think I saw one in the 1st half. But Oshimen has constantly provided balls to other players in the 1st half. It should be the other way round.
I don’t see too much poor contribution from zaidu.. it’s our beloved Iwobi that needs to be called out… the guy doesn’t understand the simplest ethics of mman marking… gives too much space to his man on And off the ball… and even slowed down our attacking foray a few times earlier on… Overall they’re all doing well.. let finish with victory 2nd half by God’s grace
Zaidu Sanusi is our weak link. It is very obvious.
My opinion:
Substitute Sanusi for Iheanacho. Hear me out.
Iheanacho takes Moses Simon position while Simon drops to the right wingback. This means that Ola Aina switches to the left wingback.
So, we maintain our shape.
Iheanacho places right. Lookman understands Osimhen movements – likewise Iheanacho. This will make our final third deadly.
Kudos to Ekong. The guy has been rock solid. I will admit that I’ve never liked the guy prior to this tournament. I even went as far as to complain about his inclusion. But alas, Ekong has proven all doubters wrong. And I, Kingston, admit my wrong.
Okay
Not complaining but Sanusi needs to buck up his ideas and be more precise with his passing and general application – Pajero needs to ease Yusuf back in sharpish.
It’s clear to see that Osimhen is determined to change what the narrative about him has been thus far in the competition and we are seeing the beginning signs of that – hopefully he will also start thinking about introducing more coolness and composure into his game when he is in the box, but I think if he keeps up in this vein as we’ve seen so far tonight, then all the better for himself and the team moving forwards.
I will repeat it again. This Nigerian team is playing like an amateur team. So called professionals who are just defending too deep, any under- 23 team in Europe will stand toe-toe with this team. Cameroon we already know is playing nonsense. Oshimen is just saving this team, making him over-work. Let them just score another goal before cameroon roars back into this match. Take Zaiduuuuuuuuuuuuu out he is playing rubbish
What exactly do you want? If they lose, you’ll talk. If they win, you’ll talk. If you know what’s called football, you’ll understand why they have to keep things tight at the back, and hit their opponent on the counter, especially with the electrifying pace of our strikers.
With this tactics you’re condemning, Nigeria had more shots on target than Cameroon who were always attacking. Did you notice that our goalkeepers were literally on holiday, while our outfield players were busy like the bees? Four matches, three wins, one draw, 1 goal against, 5 goals for. Come on bro, let’s appreciate these guys.
He’s forcing us to eat our humble pie, bro. Not just me, even you, because from the word go, it seems to me you and Dr Drey preffered Uzoho in goal to Nwabili
..lol. Now, we can all see the impact the guy is making and we are cool with it. Uzoho wouldn’t have done better. We still need him though.
Wow.,. thought I was the only one who noticed that. He invited that knee injury. And to think he did that twice. He waits for a floated ball arrogantly trusting in his height and build perhaps. Keepers COME OUT AND CLAIM high balls, but reverse is his. He waits for the ball to get to him thereby attracting opposing players.
So we moved from the famed Oyinbo Wall to BOOST – Bassey, Ọla, Oluwasemilogo, Sanusi and Troost-eķong.
IF we know what is good for us….we better sustain whatever formation that will accommodate these 5 defenders going forward…..even beyond the afcon…532, 541, 5221, 5131, 505…..whatever….but these 5 guys are like borderpost security
One has to confess that the change in philosophy, approach and tactical arrangement have served Peseiro well. Long live “Economic Football” with 5 man solid defence.
This is what I am talking about. If Osimhen is not scoring, some one else should step up. You will see Osimhen scoring goals in the Quater Final. Confidence is growing. Nice one
How do you defeat a team you can’t score against?
That is the problem SE opponents have to solve in this tournament.
As long as we keep playing 3 center backs, it will be difficult to score against this group of boys. Not impossible. Difficult.
For this particular group of SE players, defense is their strength.
Rigobert “Sing-Song” Song will be singing the blues tonight. His Afcon journey has come to an end.
He is getting an extension brodaman. A aaaaaaawwuuuuuraaaa. Congratulations to the entire team. God bless Peseiro and crew. God bless all deserving SE players. God bless NIGERIA. THE BEANS IS GETTING SOFT. JUST GET YOUR AGEGE BREAD, AND OGI READY. LOLZZZ. GLORY, THANKS AND PRAISE TO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
If haters like make then know get there soft agege bread na there yawa,my own moi moi is already well cooked and ready to go, I know say we go start another hype about how Angola defeat Namibia and so they will defeat us.
To hell with 1994 style wingplay fancy football nonsense.
Let me see the nicompoop who will not chose results over aesthetics.
Peserio’s turning point was casting away the 424 nonsense Eguavoen was trying to foist on him for a method he spent years learning from the master Mourinho himself.
@Dr.Drey… congratulations to result-oriented football. Walahi just as you said, it’s now I realised it was Austin Eguaveon Mr. Wingplay-All-Out attack that has been foistering that 4-2-4 rudderless football pattern on
PESEIRO… from the beginning of this tournament I have been impressed by Troost-Ekong, a worthy captain he has turned out to be and I am happy Coach Peseiro recognises that and kept faith with him to keep leading the team. This is not a game for the likes of Joe Aribo… a derby like Cameroon vs Nigeria is only experienced once in a generation and I am very happy to be alive to witness this… now our foreign borns: Lookman,Aina,Ajayi,Badsey, Ekong and Iwobi now know what it feels to go to war in African football… it’s not for the faint hearted!Solid football posted by Nigeria… long live Super Eagles… Long live Nigeria marching to a better future for all its Citizens! It’s a great day to be a Nigerian… Hurray!Hurray!!Hurray!!!
Please can you just get shut you ass, am not surprised you don’t have anything sensible to say, since the team is not losing. Better go and get busy. Hater. Just imagine if we had lost this game, you asshole self would be excited to want to write garbage here.
Chaii! See how Onuachu is just dribbling his own self and falling and before you hear anything now you will see some ITK saying he is our best striker mtcheews! lool!
Letter to God – Dear Sir, the big Oga on Top, your Majesty Sir, please show us your favour and let our boy Stanley the goalkeeper not be seriously injured at all so that he can be ready again by the next time our next game comes up Baba, we don’t want Calamity Frank between the sticks Sir!
All thanks and praise be unto you Big Boss on top. We the children of Nigeria thank you Baba.
I predicted 2 – 0 before the kick-off and it was exactly so. In fact, as I dey feel am now, let me predict the QF vs Angola. Nigeria will win 3 – 1. Hahahahaha.
I know we will win them before the match since it is not the final. We always have edge over them if it is not a final match. They bully us in final games too much even their youth team. Weldone eagles
The beans for no soft anything with the 4-4-2 abi na 4-2-4 wey we dey play before.
If Peseiro had stuck to that, we would likely be out in the group stage.
Concerned fans had to shout from the rooftop, make Peseiro hear. That is why the beans don dey soft now.
My Agege bread dey already. Na to begin wack na em remain.
But not celebration time yet. Until the trophy is in the bag. For now, we stay focused like person wey wan collect gbese from debtor.
UP EAGLES!
@ Pompei so na you and others tell Peseiro to change him tactics. How laughable.
A coach that had never had the chance of spending more than 2 days in camp before AFCON, You guys suddenly concluded that he only knows one formation.
We should learn to allow coaches do their job. Maybe na una tell Waldrum to adopt his own tactics at the world cup proper after several unconvincing display by Falcon before the tournament.
Managers try out different formations during camping, because then, they have more time with the players. So those of una WEY think say na una help Peseiro to change formation, make una continue ooo. I hear una. Hahaha…
I said the beans will be soft because I believe in trusting a manager to do his job. And the beans is getting really soft. I no dey claim to know pass who dey d hot seat while I no get any practical evidence to show say I know pass am, except to type for CSN blog. LOLZZZ. Just get your AGEGE bread ready brodaman.
Good game, the coach showed that he worked with Mourinho, defense is explicit Good outing.
We’re using a winning formula, Cameroon had zero shots on target and they were chasing the game for the most part. The SuperEagles didn’t allow one short on target. Defensively, Nigeria is good. We can go all the way surely. Angola is another tough customer, but we will be ready. Up up SuperEagles!!!!
Absolutely. Peseiro was resourceful and proactive in quickly altering his style to one that provided defensive solidity. He has only his coaching crew and his background to thank for that.
Well done to the team. Regardless of the formation, I have always believed this team has the potential to reach the quarter finals.
A coach that understudied Mourinho and always in contact with him till tomorrow, is the same coach My brodaman Pompei and others teach how to change formation to 343 or 352 or whatever. No be small laugh that conclusion dey make us laugh here. Nigeriannnnnns.
@ DEO, I must have to thank people like you whose positive write ups truly uplifted belief in this team. I TELL THE TRUTH OUR PRAYER, IS TO ALWAYS BE IN COMPANY OF PPOSITIVE, RATIONAL MINDED PEOPLE. A big shout out to Aphilidegreat, Femi, ndubest, Hush and many others never the least positive minded forumites. A aaaaaaawwuuuuuraaaa. Victory is certain. Lolzz
Pesiro must have spied into Jose Morinho note…or he sent a S.O.S message to morinho on whatsapp…obviously Morinho reply his country man…bench chukwueze, bench this, bench that..if you want to win…script well executed…Thanks to ALmighty…congratulations my darling SUPER SUPER EAGLS
A takes alot to prevent a team from getting a single shot on target in a knock out game…
Defense is an important part of the game of football and most times we focus mainly on the strikers and neglect the importance of the defenders..
Did we notice that pesiro brings more defenders than strikers during substitutions in all the games since he started playing 3 at the back.. it is either an omerue comes to complement the already solid back line or a Samuel coming to add more fire on the already firing wingback..
Thjs is not without consequences as players like moffi and iheancho are yet to taste the action, and an onuachu reduced to a player coming to kill game Time..
Kudos to the team and a big congratulations to lookmam for the two goals.. he and oshimen are forming an amazing partnership! I hope nwabali recovers as Uzoho seems not to be ready to step up.
Good game ! Peseiro and his boys did us proud. The injury to nwabali though, I hope he is not seriously injured . Uzoho does not exude confidence. Lookman and Osimhen were immense. Bassey , Ekong ,Aina also had good games. Iwobi and Onyeka were OK. Zaidu had a stinker!
Please can you just get shut you ass, am not surprised you don’t have anything sensible to say, since the team is not losing. Better go and get busy. Hater. Just imagine if we had lost this game, you asshole self would be excited to want to write garbage here.
Congratulations to the boys, coaches and all Nigerians.
We keep doing the needful.
Proud of the passion shown tonight.
This cup is ours to lose…
And respectfully, I would restate the lovely question @Pompei quizzed;
How do you defeat an opponent you can’t score against?
Nigeria is simply a paradox. We came into the tournament believing our strength is in the attack whereas the reverse is the case. I appreciate our defensive solidity. Attack get your goals. Defence wins tournament.
The boys are simply keying into this formation.
Thanks Mr Hush. The mark of genius in any coach is being flexible and adaptable in the face of the nature of challenges being faced.
Peseiro used 4-3-3 in the first game which worked to create chances and earn us a decent 1:1 draw but he wasn’t satisfied. He wanted his emphasis to be on keeping the vault shut like Fort Knox at the back and then building from there.
This was arrived at solely by Peseiro and his coaching crew. He is paid to take such decisions and he has done exactly that.
Hence the outcomes are justifying his about-face in tactics.
Now, teams know what to expect. It will now be interesting to see how Peseiro adapts and reinvents his approach from here on.
@Field Marshall.General.Sir John Bob… @Paul Onuachu was given instructions to come slow the game and frustrate Cameroon and help our guys bring the game home… he executed it with 100% class, if you know football you will give that human specimen Paul Onuachu flowers everyday all-year brother… I just don’t like Paul Onuachu… I love him and knows he is one of the most intelligent players in our squad… he drops numbers everywhere he goes, give respect to whom respect is due! Goaldemon fan allday!!!
@JimmyBall I beg make you no spoil this joyful mood for us all ooo……………Onuachu Longus why come in begin dey do leg over and fall needlessly na him you dey praise?
Congratulations to my boys and the technical team, Peiseiro really won my heart with his tactical acumen. He tried this formation against Guinea friendly and failed, losing 2:0, discarded it in their 1st match against EG but reverted back to same formation because of his conviction and viola……..it works like magic. Can you imagine a whole Lions of Cameroon, 4-time AFCON winners not getting a single shot at goal? What a master strokes from this genius of a coach.
He studied the strength of his players and came up with a great solution
Osimhen was immense in this match, Lookman came to the party quite well (a deserved Man of the Match performance), Aina was phenomenon, Ekong was Rock Solid ably assisted by Ajayi and Bassey Ugelumba, check out that sumptuous assist). Frank Onyeka was a trojan in the middle of the pack, Iwobi tried but needs to step up his game. Zaidu and Simon was a bit off tonight but contributed well. Kudos to all these players
However please let us all beg Peisseiro to please forgive Senior Man Kels, he deserves to play a big part in this team going forward, we need him much more than the Onuachu Longus and wayward Chukwueze, he will be our joker in subsequent matches.
A special get well soonest prayer to our confident Nwabali, hoping thee injury is not so serious and he should be back on his feet before the next match against Angola, Uzoho is not gonna help these excellent boys in any way.
Thank you too to all of you fellow forumites for your incisive analysis, banters and commendations, we move on steadily until the Cup lands safely in Abuja
Iwobi this Iwobi that most of the passes that open the play in this match were from look it at the one for the second goal, not forgetting he is playing too deep according to the coach insyruction. Also, I want to belief Nigerians are happy playing ugly football and getting result than playing attractive football and get beatten? The irony of it is that do what that favour you and always playing to your strength. Congratulations Pesseiro, congratulations Nigerians on to the next
Oga playing too deep doesn’t stop him from marking his man proper when off the ball… gives his man too much space to recieve a pass a settle with it b4 he tries to track him…
Great offensive asset to the team tho…
And Just so you know… I love Iwobi so much….
Special shout out to Ignatius Abo… abeg where are you hiding?
Ehn yes JimmyBall you genius – that’s why he is almost 7 ft tall but even shorty like Simon Moses is better than him in the air abi? lol
Or you didn’t see how he bombed so badly at Southampton that they just had to ship him out sharply after 6 or so games to the back water of Turkey abi? – That is Southampton wey be say even Aribo still dey hold levels for?
Or maybe your generator ran out of diesel in the dying minutes of the game and you missed it when they passed the ball to his feet and he dribbled himself twice then fell down ungainfully while the Cameroon defender just stood back watching him with hands on hips?..my guy abeg leave story please
@Field Marshall.General.Sir John Bob… you watch football from back of TV. @Onuachu came to slow the game and run the clock down… he did it satisfactorily to the letter. Southampton did not ship him away, he requested for a loan move to a club where he is valued… Southampton a dead club before Onuachu arrived there, he was played in eleven games mostly starting from the bench… that club was already drowning before he got there, it was just desperate move he accepted even though Genk did not want him to leave. Paul Onuachu is a solid player anyway… when he came on, were you blind to see that he killed off the game on the Cameroonians? Go and buy glasses chairman!
Ehn Okay JimmyBall, no surutu – convince yourself of whatever you like, believe your own fantasy about Onuachu – Me I don’t care, I have nothing against Onuachu so it’s nothing personal, just facts. As long as he is only being used as a makeweight in the team as he clearly is – by sensible men who know football and who see him in training everyday then there is no wahala at all at all lol.
If you need him like that, please go and start your own team or form a new country and have him as your number 1 striker – that one na for your own pocket.
Oh and you’re right – he did kill the Cameroonians…with laughter lool!
Congratulations everyone one we are gradually getting there. Angola will be tougher than Cameroon but we will overcome. All the players gave their best but i pity cameroon they are our wives now just as we are Ghana wives. Hahahaha. @Selfmade thanks for having open mind and supporting us.
You this ndubest guy, you sure say nor be nduworst be your real name?? – I swear you must be a ghanian – all this your love-in with the gahanians has not gone unnoticed and you better watch yourself.. you are so dumb that you think that mad ghanian got an open mind by himself? No! a thousand times no! If it wasn’t because of good Nigerians who rallied to put the pest in his place, we would still be having to hand his ass to him here daily and all you would be hearing now is argument and fights.
It’s carpets like you that encourage that kind of nasty and you really need to wind your neck back in or leave the forum and go and find yourself a ghana love-in site and leave this place us Nigerians. Yeye man!
You are sick mentally for attacking my post @selfmade has stopped attacking or insulting anyone for sometime now and he is welcome to the fold. I must confess that some of you are even worst than some Ghanians that wants our downfall like @monkeypost @yaw an others. You guys are fair-weather friends. You are happy today that we won but i have been reading your post since this tournament started you have been writing rubbish praying for our downfall so that you will laugh. Shame to you your prayers has failed. We know the true supporters in this forum we also know the pretenders. You are a pretender. Nonsense
Please, please, please, what is spectacular in today’s game. So shocking to hear some people saying ugly football with winning is Ok. If peserio understudied, why didn’t he use it during his time in Venezuela, Saudi Arabia. This team still has a long way to go. So many players just need to vacate this team, a lot are not super Eagles material. Is this how they plan to play the rest of the tough teams in the group.
Glory, you can laugh like a jack ass for all I care.
I stated here on this forum long before Afcon started that I had huge reservations about this 4-2-4 we were playing. Not that 4-2-4 and 4-4-2 are not good formations. Diego Simeone uses 4-4-2 very well at Athletico Madrid, for example. But for us, it was obvious that it wasn’t working for our boys.
So I suggested playing 3 center backs to make the defense stronger. This is something Rohr did with spectacular success during his tenure, against heavy weights like Argentina, Brazil, etc.
I simply suggested we continue were Rohr left off.
So all the forumites here who write posts about SE are competing with Peseiro, according to you, Glory? HAHAHAHA, how small minded you are!
When people bring ideas together, progress happens. According to you Glory, people should keep quiet, because they don’t have more knowledge than the decision makers on the hotseat? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
What a small minded, backward way of thinking!
If you want me to feel bad or apologize for being right all along, you are barking up the wrong tree.
So Glory, laugh all you want. Laugh like a freaking hyena if you like.
The fact remains that we are enjoying these good results today because Peseiro MADE MUCH NEEDED CHANGES, which is what myself and so many other well intentioned forumites asked for.
Without Peseiro making this changes, BEANS FOR NO SOFT ANYTHING. BEANS FOR HARD LIKE ZUMA ROCK.
Thankfully, Peseiro is not as small minded as you. He made changes, and now we can look forward to having a great tournament. Even if we don’t win in the end.
@ Pompei, how shameful YOU now resulting to insult simply because you have been found out to want to take credit that doesn’t belong you. MY SIMPLE QUESTION IS. ARE YOU THE ONE THAT ADVICE PESEIRO TO CHANGE FORMATION? I am not wasting my time to read the list of formations you type here. Lolzyou Formation A or B which every lame man know. Na you advice Peseiro to change formation is the simple question.
I have never understood why some fans feel that because one criticise the coach (duely if I made add because the result leading to this tournament has not been good), that person does not have the right to be pleased with the team’s performance when they do well. What pompei alluded to is that peseiro has been using 442 or 424 which has not worked. Fans criticised and he changed his formation (if he was praised for using 442, I do not think he will change it). Peseiro was adamant and insisted on using Uzoho, fans cried out and the people in power reached out to him and nwabali got the nod and even Rohr confirmed that Nwabali is better. We all want the team to do well and where that is not the case, good fans will criticise, with the hope that improvements will be made.
Peseiro opted to take 25 players instead of 27, should we clap for him? Criticism is what puts players and coach on their toes. @ Glory, we all want the team to do well, one love!
As for you kingsley – you need to stop smoking that weed boy, it clearly ain’t good for your membranes and you’re obviously on some next level BS. SMH!
According to brodaman Glory, nobody should disagree with Peseiro again over anything because he understudied Mourinho.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Why did his understudy of Mourinho not help him in his previous jobs, with Venezuela and Saudi Arabia? So because he understudied the INFAMOUS BUS PARKER, he is now above criticism?
Imagine yourself in a company where a manager went to Harvard. And your colleague Glory is telling you to blindly trust whatever the Havard graduate says and does, never questioning or criticizing anything?
That is the dictionary definition of SMALL MINDED.
I guess it’s my turn to laugh. HAHAHAHA!
Disagree to call for his sack abi. Is that how your harvard university qualified person build up a project successfully? If we had fool in NFF that had listened to people like you, I am sure will by now you would have disappeared from this forum but thank God for a sensible NFF that threw all such calls to the dustbin hence you have the opportunity to claim RELATIONSHIP LOLZZZ. CLAIM OOO. MASTER TACTICIAN LOLZZ.,
Even that comment I made congratulating the team, it is that one about fans shouting for Peseiro to make changes that you zeroed in on.
Did I say it was me? I said CONCERNED FANS. That includes all right minded fans who want the best for the team. Obviously not small minded individuals like yourself.
Hahahaha, go and sit down somewhere, hypocrite!
So NFF ONIGBESE have suddenly become the benchmark of football management just because you want to prove a point? HAHAHAHA!
Hahaha. How funny I never knew how small minded you @ Pompei have been all these while. Take a chill pill and put your ego centric mindset to bed brodaman.
Since I and Drey disagreed with you n Deo on Onuachu, you attitude toward snowballef into some pretty little thing. Lolzz. Deo is still having nice conversation, even Onuachu dad Jimmyball lolzz has not gone gun blazing with me.. But you. Haba Pompei na so you be. Grow up man.
Yes Peseiro may have failed in those countries but common sense tells me no two scenarios are exactly alike. I no go harvard university but I no say no two scenarios are exactly alike. So only those that claim to know it all will make such irrational judgement without thorough finding out the why and how Peseiro failed in those country.
I stand to be corrected but I very much doubt coaches have the time to read fan blogs and forums and use views contained therein to influence their decisions on strategy. We congregate our views for the fun of it and to bounce ideas in a fun environment. But, our views will somehow filter to Peseiro though but these in and of itself shouldn’t massively influence their decisions – I think.
But I totally agree with you that,on this occasion ,Peseiro would have arrived at the decision to alter his approach and formations independent of fan views. It’s just more complicated and complex than that. I think he just wasn’t happy about the outcome of the first game.
Anyway, well done to the team once again. They have done well.
@ My POINT, which quite surprisingly @Pompei fails to understand is, we fans never ever like to give managers a chance as long as such manager don’t do what we suggest on this forum.
It’s absolutely ludacris to think these managers don’t know what they are doing. I prefer a situation where we support whoever is manager and wait for when he fails in major tournaments before condemning and sacking him but in Nigeria it is not the case. HOW SAD
It’s not rocket science. All Peseiro needed to do was look at videos of SE past matches. He would have seen the formation Rohr deployed against Argentina, for example.
A FORMATION THAT WORKED WONDERS. It’s the same group of boys we have today, for the most part.
Solution? Why not try what worked then? That’s all he needed to do. He did not need to email Mourinho back and forth.
Just to set the record straight, before my enemies put words into my mouth.
I never, ever tried to claim credit for Peseiro’s change of tactics. For God’s sake, how did the conversation even get here?
I just stated my opinions here on this forum weeks before Afcon started, AND MY OPINIONS WERE PROVED RIGHT.
This team is stronger defensively when we play 3 center backs.
Not unbeatable. But stronger. That’s my opinion, and I have every right to it.
If Peseiro is above criticism for you because he understudied Mourinho, then that’s fine. For me, I will criticize him if I feel the need arises.
Thanks again Glory for your post above. I had no doubt this team would reach the quarter finals. Peseiro didn’t need to read my fan posts to make necessary changes to his application. He is well capable of doing that based on management tools at his disposal. It is his perogative to select any formation. I will be utterly delusional to think I played any part in his choices.
Indeed. UTTERLY DELUSIONAL.
Na Yaba left things be dat.
Somebody typing long winded epistles on a laptop or phone and thinking his opinions were used to tinker the team? Hahaha, abeg make dem come carry am go Aro quick quick, before he enter market.
HAHAHAHA!
Better a Peseiro butt licker than listen to a wayward arms akimbo know it all, empty cabinet CSN BLOG tactician. Lolzz. Brodaman @ Pompei, I have weighed you and can confidently say you too small you no reach.
Permit me to say that parts of your logic are flawed. It is one thing to criticise a coach, it is quite another to actually write the coach off.
Correct me if I am wrong but many fans like you actually appear to suggest indirectly that Peseiro didn’t even possess the coaching acumen to conceive and then implement a winning strategy and formula. You were always too quick to refer us to his CV and prior underwhelming records as a barometer for where he will likely take Nigeria.
I criticised Peseiro, plenty of times. However I allowed that scope for possibilities to make the sort of changes that we now see are yielding results.
Look at Uzoho, you have totally written him off. If he should save a penalty in the next game which helps us progress, you will come here to say you were merely criticising him.
My brother, the difference between criticising someone and writing them off is like night and day!
@deo, I do not understand your logic and I pray that Nwabali will be back for q-final. Both Peseiro and Uzoho have not given most people confidence. What I perceive as lack of confidence in the duo is what you have termed as “writing them off”. Like I have stated above, if the team , player or coach do well, we would praise them. So if tomorrow , Uzoho drops another stinker and we crash out(God forbid), we should praise him? If you want to be optimistic inspite of poor performances , that is on you but some of us will continue to comment based on what we see. So if you have a worker with you who due to negligence on the job has caused you loss of money in the past and you have a new staff who has done his job diligently recently, you will still entrust the former with a high stake deal? One always puts their best foot forward. When Peseiro beat Sao tome 10-0, I do not think anyone criticised him but
When he does poorly, we should not criticise him?
Brodaman Glory, it is you that needs to grow up. It is you that is ego centric to the highest degree.
So you want fans to keep quiet and watch us fail with 4-2-4, because Peseiro understudied Mourinho?
Criticizing Peseiro does not mean we hate him or wish him failure. It means we want him to succeed, BECAUSE IF HE SUCCEEDS, GUESS WHO ELSE SUCCEEDS? THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA!
Can’t you get that thru your thick skull?
Not too surprised though. The way you type, I can imagine spliff is never too far away, with your disjointed grammar and logic.
Wetin concern this discussion with Onuachu. If you hate Onuachu, me I like am. Na wetin?
Hold your side, make I hold my own.
If Onuachu scores in this Afcon and you celebrate, you are a bloody hypocrite.
Why do you hate that boy so much? Is Onuachu not a Nigerian footballer? Why should I hate someone who is hustling for his daily bread? I should hate him because you hate him?
Dream on!
Brodaman @ Pompei, the knowledgeable one lolzzz, professor of English. If your write ups here truly defines some expertise in writing,I will rather choose to be an illiterate.
You @Pompei are such small minded person and presumably struggling for recognition, that you have suddenly positioned yourself to know the grammatical function of words used on blogs like CSN, where everyone type in the midst busy work schedules. You smell of deep envy which is surprising to me.
If I am on a spliff, you can be rest assured that you need one to come out of your depressing state of deep envy. Continue to remain in your FOOLS PARADISE English professor. Na only know tactical formation pass Peseiro and even come know who write with grammar pass for CSN. And yet can’t don’t understand all of these are a deep characteristics of an egoist. Una just come public forum to show how daft una be to the world. No wonder those Ghanaian dey take u to the cleaners then you hide under nigeria flag to defend your pitiful ignorance.
To God be the glory. This is a well deserved victory for Nigeria and as I said before the match, if Eagles failed to beat Cameroon then most of the players have to go but I am very happy for the guys they did well. We showed Cameroon and the rest of the world what Nigeria Super Eagles capable of doing.
Kudos to Oga Paseiro and his troops. They did really well.
However, Angola is very deadly in front of the goal, and Super Eagles have to be careful against Angola.
I wish Nwabali a quick recovery. Lookman did well. Osimhen superb. Kudos to all our boys. What Oga Rohr failed to do in six years, Oga Paseiro may do it better in less than three years. Who knows, the gaffer may surprise us. Finger crossed. Good luck to our darling Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Na lie you were expecting us to lose. Please continue wishing us to lose. You’re irrelevant in the broad scheme of things anyway. Focus on your Amrouche leave our Peseiro alone.
So I wanted Eagles to lose because I did not believe in Oga Paseiro’s capability, right? Are you kidding me AY?
Don’t you know that I’m a Nigerian who loves his country so well and how could I wish my country bad because
I’m saying the truth about the gaffer @Ayphillydegreat.
Please calm down a bit when it comes to Super Eagles.
I appreciate Oga Paseiro in this tournament, but he has to do more to win against the likes of Senegal and other top teams before I can boldly be one of his fans.
Indomitable Lions of Cameroon is a big team in Africa, but the current team of Cameroon is not that strong and superb.
Let me take you back to history a bit. We should thank coach Chukwu for destroying the Cameroonian team at the Afcon 2004 in Tunisia if I’m not mistaken.
Cameroon destroyed our national team at the 2000 while it took us a while before we recovered, but Cameroon has not recovered yet, and coach Paseiro is doing the same thing to Cameroon this year.
Another generation of Cameroonian team have been destroyed again which Cameroon have to start all over to build their team.
If Oga Paseiro fails to win something big in this tournament with the array of star players in the Super Eagles, then he should step down.
Long story short, I wish our darling Super Eagles the best. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
God forbid so what if he didn’t win the trophy, then he’s not good. Though I am not peseiro’s supporter but I don’t see it like if you are a good coach you must carry the trophy na na. Even though, I wish we win this afcon. What I’m after is let see your technical ability, stop doing same thing the same way over and over again, even when you know is not working and win many matches that you loose including 70 to 80% victory against big guns in Africa just like Rohr did. This is what I care about, if you can do that, the time to win trophy will come. And peseiro has shown some technical and tactical strength in this afcon and I have started loving it. Inability to win trohy at first tournament in charge is not a crime to me but what’s your performance like, you were able to get to final in AFCON good, what and what improvement can we see are key. Not he can’t win both world cup and afcon as a SE coach he must be killed like you always think.
I have already made it crystal clear that it is perfectly acceptable in my books to offer praise where a performance warrants it and to criticise when due. What I think has been poisonous is to criticize to point of perhaps suggesting that the subject of the criticism no longer has anything to offer.
A lot of fans like you criticised Peseiro to the point of suggesting that Nigeria would never go beyond the group stages of this tournament. I criticised Peseiro but with the caveat that the potential remains for him to turn things around. That potential has now been made manifest as we have reached the quarter Finals. People are already calling for Uzoho never to smell action in the tournament but I said – despite his flaws – Uzoho has redeeming qualities and the ability to improve on areas of weakness (u never gave him or Peseiro this sort of opportunity).
I called some of our players ‘unplayable’ if they bring their A game to the fore. You mocked me back then. Isn’t it ironic and prophetic the same players marching on in the tournament with clean sheet after clean sheet?
There is fair criticism, there is unfair criticism, there is constructive criticism and there is outright writing people off.
If you own a company and your employee makes the slightest mistake, you sack them instantly all in the name of criticisms. Nobody will ever want to work in your company.
The truth is that you never saw anything good coming from this coach because you slammed your door at him. If left to people like you he would not even be here now let alone guide the team to the quarter-finals.
I think all players and coaches have shortcomings and it is important to highlight these. But not in a manner that means we should run them out of the country.
Just to correct a notion, Peseiro and Uzoho gave me huge confidence, confidence in their abilities to at least help us reach the quarter finals. A lot of people share my view. I understand that this is personal and subjective from one person to another.
Let me end by saying this. Your views are your views and mine are mine – we are entitled to them. But I still believe that ‘Criticism’ has spectrum from mild to extreme. And I think you were most extreme in your views about Uzoho and Peseiro. I may be wrong but that is what I think.
Thank you Golden Child. Let’s enjoy together the joy this team and their coach are giving us.
Well written @Deo the truth is that we condemn so easily one bad match bring the coach and players and kill them and one good match they sing their praises to high heavens. I still maintain many of the so called fans here are fair-weather friends. There is this old-school music, when the going is good and smooth many people will be your friends but when the going becomes tough many of them will run away. This afcon has exposed many wolves in sheep clothing in this forum. We know the real supporters here and they are the ones that support the team in good and bad times. If we are opportune to see old comments some will cover their faces in shame. Criticise when necessary but dont write people off. I pray and hope we win the next match but if something goes wrong the pretenders will call for both players and coach head. The question is MUST we win all the time. Brazil the home of football but they won the world cup many years ago but heaven has not fallen. Be a supporter in good time and bad time. I come in peace!!
I have read interesting comments from the guys I respect very well in this forum – @glory @pompei @deo.
Really, I think all of you are right in some ways.
I understand the angle @glory @deo are coming from – never condemn a coach or s player but you can criticize them.
I think I learn something beautiful from that. Really I was very careful to condemn this team and the coach but I must confess I wrote off pesero and focused on the players.
Football can be funny and dynamic. Pesero has produced a masterpiece already. Changing formations that results in visible success on the field.
Beating Cameroon like that is a big plus for pesero. No shots on goal for Cameroon!!!
Clean sheets in three straight matches in this interesting afcon!!??
Being bold to use nwabsli in goal in a first match if afcon!!!!
Having great belief in these players!!! You need to see the way he greets them.
But @pompei did not intentionally tried to condemned pesero. Probably it appears to deo and glory as if he was condemning him.
Pompeii is one of the best analyst here on the forum. Very straightforward, knowledgeable and factual.
That was why I said all of you are right in some ways.
Please hug each other – you guys are all great.
I made these observations on this forum.
In 1990 – westerhof tweaked formation we got to the final.
In 2013 keshi did the same and we won the cup.
Pesero has started with that….
We hope for the best.
But I am saying this again,
Oshimen is a gift to Nigeria. Look at that performance against Cameroon. How can you boss a Cameroonian defense like that all through.
Yes he has not wasted lots of scoring chances in this afcon but he has played for the team all through. A big weapon for Nigeria.
When I heard that it was Cameroon I knew we were going to win because Cameroon have a poor defense. I f we continue with the 343 formation I knew Cameroon was gone.
Finally, let me give credit to rohr here. Rohr actually showed us the way with using 3 central defenders. With bassey (to me one of the best defenders in this afcon), we should be using 3 central defenders.
I pray God will crown the efforts of this team in this afcon.
@ Christian Ministry nigeria. Many thanks for your post
Please can you kindly pull out any of my post where I attack Pompei for criticising Peseiro?
Criticism is part of the game, that I understand, I only speak against condemning, abusing or sacking a player or coach at every manageable error. GO BACK TO MY EARLIER POST WHERE I WAS EVEN ENCOURAGING THIS SAME POMPEI, WHEN HE EXPRESSED DISCONTENT WITH THE TEAM TO BE PATIENT, HUMOROUSLY SAYING THE BEANS WILL BE SOFT IN THE TOURNAMENT PROPER. I HAVE ALWAYS RESPECTED THIS GUY BUT I THINK I HAVE FOOLISHLY RATED HIM HIGH ON THIS FORUM, BECAUSE HIS RESPONSE TO ME OOZES SOME DEEP HATRED WHICH HAS REALLY SURPRISED ME FOR I CAN’T REMEMBER DIRECTING DISRESPECTFUL POST TO HIM. But if he wants to go that way, brodaman @Christian Ministry, I am supremely up and ready. WE BOTH WILL ENJOY A JOLLY RIDE.
I made a comment, and he attacked me out of nowhere, accusing me of suggesting that Peseiro got his tactics from me, and I’m supposed to take that?
If he wants a jolly ride, he will get one. I am also quite ready to put him in his place.
I don’t need the respect or friendship of a hypocrite. I now see him for what he truly is.
BRING IT ON.
Wow, Christian Ministries, I like your idea of ‘Criticism vs Condemnation’ dichotomy. It is really very fascinating.
Basically this theory possess the question: ‘when do we start to stray from the healthy tenets of constructive criticism to start succumbing to the gravitational pull of hopeless condemnation?’
I wonder.
Thank you brother. Let’s continue to revel in the joy of the moment that is created by this coach, his crew and the Super Eagles.
Thank you, Christian Ministries.
It was in Rohr’s time that it became crystal clear that this particular group of players are more solid defensively when we play 3 center backs. Note that I said THIS GROUP OF PLAYERS.
All I did was point that out, and someone accused me of trying to form relationship with Peseiro.
They even said I dey form master tactician. Na me sabi tactics pass Mourinho.
They said I was claiming credit for Peseiro’s choice of tactics. I must have Peseiro’s number on speed dial, so I can be calling him to teach him his job.
At least, they have not accused me of demanding for a cut of his salary. Well not yet. Perhaps I should give them time. They just might do that!
The one that had me laughing so loud was the ludicrous, ridiculous suggestion that we should WAIT FOR THE COACH TO FAIL BEFORE CRITICIZING HIM.
HAHAHAHA!
You might as well give medicine to a dead body. Person don die finish. Is that the time to give medicine?
I’ve been around many football sites, that has got to be the dumbest suggestion I’ve ever heard! Wait for the coach to fail before criticizing him. After the coach has failed and Nigeria has failed with him, what is the point of criticism? Criticism should be given to PREVENT FAILURE, not administered when failure has already happened!
Anyway, thanks again Christian Ministries. We move!
Pompeii and Glory. I don’t think I’ve seen you fellas having this kind of animosity on this platform. Going by the WorldCup qualifiers results nobody expects anything from these team going into the AFCON except for a few passionate fans who had always stood by the team through thick and thin.
Everyone have a right to criticize the coach which I did at some point. My only major stand was that I still prefer him to any local coach. Unlike some people who are now succumbed to his tactical dexterity that is bringing results even though they criticize the tactics with passion during Rohr’s reign. Lmao!! Dem know themselves. They’re here shouting hosanna now.
Anyway Pompei and Glory have always been passionate SuperEagles faithfuls irrespective of the coach and they both criticize constructively even though everyone have a right to his or her opinions. We can only counter each other with facts.
For me I don’t know if I’m the only one enjoying the atmosphere in the SuperEagles camp as I’m seeing a SuperEagles that plays with passion and gusto for Nigeria. The unity in the team is fantastic and the telepathic understanding between Osimhen and Lookman is a joy to watch.
Funny enough one would expect such between Osimhen and Chukwueze but the later is not really coming to the party in crucial moments even though he’s also a joy to watch. I hope he at least improve more than Simon in the future.
I hope Nwabali returns God Abeg!!!
Naysayers are eating their humble pie and stepping it down with Lacasera as we speak. Lmao!!

Check hesgoal.one if you are looking for where to watch the ball free.
This is an easy game for Nigeria.
Shaarrrap! Are you trying to jinx the game or what?? Dumbass!
Links, please
Download bingsport app. They show all live matches. Afcon, champions league, epl, seria a etc
See Ojoro. They should change this offside rule. The ball did not touch Osimhen and was not an intended pass to him. Nonsesnse
How is that offside? A camerounian player was on the goal line
I think the rule is that the opposition has to be in front of the 2nd to the last player. Typically, the keeper is usually the last so most tunes the last defender is the 2nd to the last. In this case, the keeper wasn’t the last player and Ajayi was not in front of the 2nd to the last player.
Thanks for the explanation. I finally read somewhere that if the opposing player is behind 10 players, then he is offside position.
the 4 referees are Moroccans and the whole VAR crew are North Africans….The super eagles need to tread very carefully ojoro go dey dis game lol
Link please
koora
The Last time it was a female from Morocco and today it’s a Moroccan male, at this point its easy to note that Caf is up to something since they don’t want anything good to come out of Nigeria after Zonal things they have resorted to be using Moroccans to torment us from last WAFCON not to AFCON. Issa Hayatou regime is slowly coming back!!!
Nigeria has really upped her game today. I like what I am seeing so far.
Zaidu Sanusi is minus one
Yes o, the guy just dey do leg anyhow
This is how to play soccer. Not sulfishness as they have been playing in the gorup stages. Look your free man. Pass the ball. Simple.
ADEMỌLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Wow O. Nigeria is doing well
In just pray they don’t injure Victor Oshimen or take him out completely from the competition. Oshimen is the midfielder and striker. What happens if other teams comes to take him out.
How did Zaidu make this team? No ball control, no vision – nothing. I’m not sure he can make a five-aside team in Aba, Kano or Lagos!
What has Zaidu done wrong? All the palyers are putting in their best!
The guy no sabi anything abeg. He can only start in a country like Nigeria. What does he offer the team? Pesin wey dey cross ball like shot
People are just problematic. Thus far, these guys are trying.
Imaging this guy is playing for Porto, the coach better remove sanusi now.
Rubbish game. Zaidu is just crap, don’t know how he manage to get into this team. What makes him better than ebuehi. He is not pulling Weight at all, the midfield is dead, this is not a nigerian team i know. It’s like am watching under 20 playing. what a boring game.
Haba! This is a very exciting game
You must be a lunatic. Tournament football and you are leading maybe if we were trailing it would have been better?
Be like no be live match you dey watch
What nonsense is this one spewing? If don’t know football and you don’t have anything to say, you short your mouth
Ademola Lookman, kudos. See Nigerian spirit. Osimhen self dey trouble. Nice 2 forwards
Nigeria is playing very well.
I commend all of them except Zaidu. Iwobi is not that bad today though. May just need to tighten up the midfield more. Nice play from them
Cut the guy some slack. He is doing well in attack and defense.
Iwobi hasn’t really offered much in the midfield. Ekong and Aina have been so outstanding.
Could someone please explain the offside. The goaie was ahead but there was a cameroonian player on the goal line!
Actually, I just saw the replay. Ajayi too was offiside. I thought he was not and was only Osimhen before. The rule is if an opposing player is behind the keeper, even if his player is also behind him, it is offside
You’ve answered your question yourself.
The moment the GK stepped out, he became the last man and the man on the goalline assumed the position of the GK.
And the offside rule practically says you cannot be between the last man and the GK as at the time the ball is played to you.
I hope you get it.
It was an Inch perfect call by the Referee and the VAR.
Thanks brother.
Good game so far.
God bless Super Eagles!!!
Well well well. Good luck to Nigeria. The game is very well poised.
Why does it seem it’s only Osimhen on that pitch….?!
Can you at least shut ur gutter of a mouth now
What exactly do you want? If they lose, you’ll talk. If they win, you’ll talk. If you know what’s called football, you’ll understand why they have to keep things tight at the back, and hit their opponent on the counter, especially with the electrifying pace of our strikers.
With this tactics you’re condemning, Nigeria had more shots on target than Cameroon who were always attacking. Did you notice that our goalkeepers were literally on holiday, while our outfield players were busy like the bees? Four matches, three wins, one draw, 1 goal against, 5 goals for. Come on bro, let’s appreciate these guys.
I am glad to see you happy Papa Fem. Finally you appreciate the guys and the coach.
Why Uzoho dey tie shoe?
Uzoho has no business in this game.
He dey go his wedding party
Wetin Uzoho dey do? pretending to tie his boot?
The Super Eagles are playing well.
God bless Osimhen
Nwabali is too slow for some of these high balls.
Wow.,. thought I was the only one who noticed that.
This nervous goalkeeper is a joke, I don’t ve any faith in this guy.
Ha, we don’t want Uzoho o. Try Olorunleke Ojo if Nwabali has to go
Here comes my Uzoho, finally. Wishing you speedy recovery Nwabili.
Yeeee!! Nwabali is injured
Oh well…… Such is life.
HAAAAAAAAA. na which native doctor Uzoho go visit before this game. Can’t believe this
We are finished!!!
One has to confess that the change in philosophy, approach and tactical arrangement have served Peseiro well. Long live “Economic Football” with 5 man solid defence.
Deo, na real tactical approach. Good game. I thank God Chukweze was not in this match. He would have wasted the ball Osimhen gave to Lookman.
Amokachi dey this forum oh… He’s one of the commentators and he just lifted something from this forum almost word for word about Ighalo and Nsue
Lol, how did you know Onwa?
Yes spot on Onwa I was about saying it….
I think Bassey is not a good defensive left wing back. He is better in the center. He can be too slow with a quick player
Waseere guys. Up Eagles
Ademola Lookman is the man. He came to the party from the onset of this tournament.
God is good. Nigeria woke up today!
This is what I am talking about. If Osimhen is not scoring, some one else should step up. You will see Osimhen scoring goals in the Quater Final. Confidence is growing. Nice one
Well said Tols
Uzoho’s distribution is poor. Nwabali get well fast!
Good job Osimhen
How do you defeat a team you can’t score against?
That is the problem SE opponents have to solve in this tournament.
As long as we keep playing 3 center backs, it will be difficult to score against this group of boys. Not impossible. Difficult.
For this particular group of SE players, defense is their strength.
Rigobert “Sing-Song” Song will be singing the blues tonight. His Afcon journey has come to an end.
Nigeria eat their daily bread lol
Congrats Nigeria
Glory be to God. Thank God for the victory.
We know go gree for anybody, at this rate we dnt even need a GK, OMG this guys made my day, can the NFF just extend Peseiro contract already pls?
For me I have achieved my objectives. I wanted this team to at least reach the quarter finals and they have done it.
The end justifies the means. If Peseiro likes, play 10-0-0 formation, just continue achieving success.
Well done to the team
Long live Peseiro’s brand of “Economic Football”!
Congratulations Super Eagles.
Another gritty performance.
You are right Dr drey
There was no way we could have lost because our opponents didn’t record any single shot on target for the entire duration of the game.
Hahahahaha.
Cameroun is now Nigeia bitch!!
Cameroon is Nigeria daily bread lol
Selfmade ll destroy u in a min…
Shut up and enjoy your victory
That was some beautiful football, that’s what I”m talking about be creative with your tactics like I said we don’t have to depend on only oshimen for goal and I could see some improvement today. Peseiro you did well today actually the first time since you took over but I won’t raise my hope. However, congratulations to SE, you guys gave us something to cheer.Congratulations to all Nigerians.
Anything from here is bonus.
Good luck Super Eagles!
A coach that understudied Mourinho and always in contact with him till tomorrow, is the same coach My brodaman Pompei and others teach how to change formation to 343 or 352 or whatever. No be small laugh that conclusion dey make us laugh here. Nigeriannnnnns.
Glory, I have to applaud you for keeping faith with this team through thick and thin.
Prior to the tournament, Peseiro used 3-4-3 in one of his test games to signal his intentions of using it in the tournament as his plan b.
He chose to trigger this change after he wasn’t satisfied with 4-3-3 in the first game (he actually never is 4-4-2 in the tournament).
Some fans like myself were satisfied with the initial approach but Peseiro has the final say.
Well done to him and the players.
And respectfully, I would restate the lovely question @Pompei quizzed;
Shout out to @deo
Long live Peseiro’s ‘ Economic football ‘.
I am sold.
⁸
@deo
And he(Peseiro) is definitely earning his money. In the most positive way.
I always appreciate flexibility and one open to change. Cause learning is a continuous process.
We can only keep getting better as long as we remain focus . This battle is won but the war continues. We shall succeed.
Up Super Eagles!!!
Nonsense
I have been praying for our downfall yeah? lool – Straight from your mouth to the ears of God!
You are a retard and you could NEVER love Nigeria as much as I do!
You better watch your mouth, because you’re obviously not the sharpest tool in the box. Like I said, wind your neck in and stay in your lane boy!
@Monkey post has changed his name to Kingsley. You are a loser you will continue to complain and cry until we win the cup. Rubbish
@monkey post don kpuf,he will return as a ghost
SMH!
Field marshal take it easy! Is just a game! No one hate Nigeria!
Take it easier and relax
Abeg where is that man that does the rating?? i wan see the the rating before going to bed…
Glory,
I stand to be corrected but I very much doubt coaches have the time to read fan blogs and forums and use views contained therein to influence their decisions on strategy.
HOW SAD
Top marks brotherman Glory. You are highly regarded.
Golden Child, golden comment.
Nothing more to add.
HAHAHAHA!
Heaven bless all the Peseiro butt lickers, who deem him to be above criticism because he under studied Mourinho.
AWUUUUUURAAAA! HAHAHAHA!
Better a Peseiro butt licker than listen to a wayward arms akimbo know it all, empty cabinet CSN BLOG tactician. Lolzz. Brodaman @ Pompei, I have weighed you and can confidently say you too small you no reach.
Golden Child,
Permit me to say that parts of your logic are flawed.
Top marks, Golden Child!
… And yet you can’t… Lolzz professor of English… Please correction as CSN hasn’t provided edit button. Dreamer.
Golden Child,
I have time to respond to you so here we go.
Lmao!!
VAMOS ARRIBBA SUPEREAGLES!!!!!
