        • Papafem 10 months ago

Oga, Ordega did her best. Sinclair by far older and played over 70 mins I’m that match.

  • Ikeben 10 months ago

Onumonu, really impressive. Nigerians fans should stop the unnecessary hate on the poor girl.

    • Because of one shot at goal na wa o. Can’t take on her defender one on one. Many begging chances she had to cross the ball. But rather slow the game. Kindly go rewatch the first half again.

      • Dr. Drey 10 months ago

How many as the so-called “agba baller” Oshoala taken.
One very silly attempt at goal at a very akwardly acute angle when she could have held on to the ball a few seconds longer so that support can come for a tap in.

She’ has not even raised her game one bit so far.

Onumonu by far still remains our most lively striker of the front 3 so far.

The rest should better step up and show up in this game.

        • Agreed, oshola goofed, she already had the player beaten. But go back and look, who wa s she going to pass to. Only candidate was fair skin beauty ordega who was miles away. Both players weren’t impressive in my books

        • Papafem 10 months ago

Osoala’s best days in the SF are far behind her. Reason she still gets invited and revered is because she plays for Bacelona. Period! In a game like this, I was expecting her to step as a big star she is. But nope! She is so languid and slow running the channel. While she still has the physicality, her football intelligence has notably shrunk over the years. If we rely on her on this competition, we will suffer. She doesn’t give a care.

      • Bros please give Onumonu a slack. She has been one of the bright spot of the team. Except it is a different match you are watching.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 10 months ago

She is much better than the missing Osoala! – I really don’t know why we have not looked for another striker by now – it’s not today that Osoala has been a massive disappointment! – Fair play to her charitable work and all that but it’s football playing with brain and goals we need from a “striker” – She is non-existent!

  • Good game so far from the lady eagles,

      • Omo9ja 10 months ago

Thank you, my man. Thank God for the match. But why did VAR not see the tackle on Ohale? Why has Africa not been treated well in every tournament? I can’t swallow this. We Africans are nothing in front of these Oyinbo periods. Well done, girls.

The coach should please make his substitutions early. Why Oparanozie and Gift Monday not play this match. Oparanozie shouldn’t be on the bench. Onuachu should play 20 to 30. All eyes will be on Oshoala, but Oparanozie should be the key player likewise Gift Monday. Mr. Should not rely too much on Onuachu and Oshoala.

Inadozie did a fanterbulous job. Bravo . God bless Nigeria!!!

        • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 10 months ago

Thank you my brother – I know that fair people who have eyes and a feeling of self worth will understand where I am coming from – even if I get emotional at times about all this crap – If you read further down, another one of the usual mumus has attacked me for being passionate about the team and country I support

  • Ikeben 10 months ago

Ordega want to kill us. What was she thinking.

    • Dr. Drey 10 months ago

She no want to. She don kill us.

      • Abeg who get active link to watch the game. Ones earlier posted not working.

    • Why her lover Field Marshal no come defend her with all her experience in the game. Don’t know how she impacted the game. Allowed pulmptre to be over worked, losing possession from every pass given to her. I will

      • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 10 months ago

Nna put my name out yo mouth man abi na send dem send you?

    GET T F IN GOALKEEPER!!!!

    OYA LET’S GOOOO!

  • Ikeben 10 months ago

We really mis Ngozi Okobi in this game. Our attack would have gotten more balls. Also Ajibade is also missed.

    • Steve O 10 months ago

Yes we really missed Ngozi Okobi, without her , we had no midfield!

  • Dr. Drey 10 months ago

    Oshoala is so overrated.

Maybe she has fitness issues……but in this game, she has playd so far like someone who hasnt even set her a feet on European soil to play football.

In a game where we are in need of inspiration upfront, she has been nothing but classless so far.

    Very disappointing.

If I hear anybody talk nonsense about Onumonu on this forum again…..!

  • Dr. Drey 10 months ago

Our girls have continue from where they left off at AWCON.

What sort of a tackle is that, Abiodun…??

  • Jaybee 10 months ago

Folks, hope you all saw how they ignored the foul on Ohale?
That was obviously a red card but they were quick to send Abiodun out for doing the same thing.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 10 months ago

      Bro abeg tell dem oh!

Some people here are attacking me for the way I get angry at these things – I tell them the reason why they don’t is because they are still enslaved in their minds!

  • Dr. Drey 10 months ago

    Good game Super Falcons.

This is one golden point that may come through for us at the end of the day.

Can we just be more disciplined against Australia please….??!!

  • pompei 10 months ago

Waldrum and company have just held Olympic champions Canada to a goalless draw.
For an unpaid coach, that’s a terrific result. Hats off to the man. Kudos to the ladies.
Canada threw the kitchen sink at them, but they held firm at the back. Nnadozie was outstanding today!

  • Footballfanatic 10 months ago

For those who live in the US….You can watch all the world cup games on Fox sports website..

  • pompei 10 months ago

I’m just waiting for the hypocrites who dismissed Waldrum as a “college coach” to come out now and open their buccal cavities. Let us hear what they have to say!

    • Chima E Samuels 10 months ago

Green snake talking like there’s anything spectacular in the match than GK saving penalty. You people have started this shitty mentality of celebrating a draw at the beginning of a tournament and praising underachieving coach. Everyone has just finished watching football and you’re looking for forum to set on fire and run away as usual.

      • pompei 10 months ago

Stupid lout who refuses to give credit where it is due. The man you call a college coach has just held Olympic champions Canada to a draw.
If you don’t see anything good in his effort, that’s hypocrisy.
Why should we not celebrate a draw against a team like Canada? You think you deserve more than that? If the coach and the players were not owed, and they had adequate preparation, we could have expected more. But given the circumstances, the coach and his team have done well.

      • Papafem 10 months ago

We know them. Waldrum has just become Pep Guardiola for getting a fortunate draw agsinst anaverage team. We had so many turn overs, unnecessary fouls, misplaced passes and we were very poor in the final third. While I praise the ooach for grinding a draw, he should teach the team how to make better use of the ball. Many thanks Ucheibe for a Jon

        • pompei 10 months ago

Have the SE not beaten Spain, Argentina, and other strong football countries in the past? So if we play any of them again and get a draw, according to you, that’s not a good result! Hahaha!
Your arrogance and entitlement is the stuff of legend. You actually believe that Nigeria with an unpaid coach and a fumbling NFF, deserved to beat Olympic champions Canada yesterday? So much so that you turn up your nose against a decent draw result. Unbelievable!

  • Good result for the Super Falcons. Very effective formation and game plan from Waldrum. Once again Oshoala, once again, poor game from her when you consider her club form last season. Going forward, i think the coach tweek his formation, and let’s see this team attack while defending.
Thumbs up to Nnadozie for saving the day for us.

  • Guy rest joor, na the coach be VAR or what would his protest do? That’s was a clumsy and 100% penalty with or without VAR.

    • Chima E Samuels 10 months ago

      Real prick!!!

    • Femi Stephen Boluwade 10 months ago

You are a moron and big fool, so you and ur siblings Gat same attribute right? I’ve been watching you on here this past days with ur stupid rant like a kid. So ZZ and some other coaches that dnt yell or scream at the ref. Are not coach right? You be ode walahi plus does mumu wey Dey hail your stupid submission. He Goat.

  • Ayphillydegreat 10 months ago

Very good point for the gallant ladies. In my view I think they played to instructions and showed it on the pitch to perfection. Maybe we showed a bit more respect to the Canadians which is understandable because we shouldn’t forget they’re Olympic champions. Irrespective of the horrendous preparations leading to this tournament SuperFalcons held their own today.

Oluwatosin Demehin is the next Onome Ebi. She will be around for a very long time. I like that tradition with the SF from time immemorial. Florence Omagbemi, Kikelomo Ajayi, Perpetual Nkwocha and now Onome Ebi all long time servants and always have the baton to another promising young talent. Deborah Abiodun was solid in tackles but also rash due to inexperience. She did really well apart from the unfortunate red card. Thank goodness Ayinde and Ajibade will be available for the next game.

Onumonu did really well today. Her hold up play was fantastic we just kinda lack the cutting edge and Osoala seems to be struggling with fitness in my opinion. She recently just came back from an injury before the end of the season. Tony Payne was immense and Ucheibe really worked hard for the team. And not forgetting Chiamaka Nnadozie. In my opinion the best female goalkeeper in the world. She single-handedly won us the point today.

I hope we make it out of this group, but it will be difficult not because we lack the ability and the talents, but because of our usual shenanigans leading up to a major tournament. In spite of all that the ladies have shown improvement and grit against a tough opponent today and I celebrate this point. I hope they can keep up this fight all through the group stage. VAMOS ARRIBBA SUPERFALCONS!!!

  • GEORGE OMOKO 10 months ago

I only saw the last 10 minutes of normal time and the extra time. Good game I must say. NFF was alleged not to have paid the Coach for months and owing players match bonuses. Yet, the Coach and players played like people who didn’t want to lose or let down Nigerians. Kudos to the team.

  • Chima E Samuels 10 months ago

Exactly my point for how long will Oshoala continue playing like this??? No wonder she’s not making it to top3 best players even though she scores a lot for Barca femeni. She has to be aggressive like Barbra Banda of Zambia who’s also tenacious when finishing chances. After Cynthia Uwak I have not seen a deadly falcon striker that will score all sort of goals against whoever.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 10 months ago

I hear you bro, it’s the exact same thing i have been thinking.

Honestly she is a let down and it’s nothing personal – she does a lot in charitable deeds and for grassroots female football , yes, but nothing at all for the actual team she plays in – We might as well just line up with 10 players and I am not joking

  • Collins Id 10 months ago

The coach is indeed the worse among them, he is not good at all, its obviouse that he doesnt have a better reason to drop okobi. abiodun, uchebe, and payne three debutants in ur midfield really shows that he is not good coach, apart from that, why should abiodun starts before Jennifer echiejine who is a verry skillfull and mobile player, why should ordega who havnt been usefull for about ten years starts ahead of young sharps like kanu, gift, esther okoronkwo.
Even our games plan were too poor like kndergarten,
I am not impressed at all, i dont dread canada at all even if they are so called olympic champions, the super falcons should be able to beat this team, i hope to see better performance against nest opponent.

  • Ayphillydegreat 10 months ago

In addition to what I watched today despite NFF onigbese shenanigans. Plumptre was smooth. Abiodun mopped up everywhere Oshoala too isolated Chiamaka – wonder woman Christy was very decent Payne adapted well in her new position and We miss Ajibade. He should be starting ahead of Ordega in the next match. Ayinde will replace Adiodun seamlessly. They both played the same style, but Halimatu is more experienced and also very good with the ball at her feet. There’s hope with this team apart from NFF oniranu.

  • Papafem 10 months ago

Super Falcons did more of defending than attacking today. We still missed Okobi. She’s arguably the most skilful of all our attacking midfielders. Her absence is a major reason Asisat loord isolated today. Those long speculative passes didn’t help Onumonu because she has lost some meters of pace and the Canadian defenders always had time to close her down. With Ayinde, Okobi, and Ocheibe, things would have been a bit diiferent for us going forward, especially with Ajibade also on the right, supporting Asisat and Onumomu.

Onumonu has undergone a rebirth and I’m so impressed with her technicality ans hold up Play. But we need more penetration in the final third. Let’s see what happens in the next game. Kudos to the team.

    • pompei 10 months ago

Kudos to the team, but throw the unpaid coach out the window? Who set the team up to perform in such a way that made you give them kudos? In spite of all the NFF shenanigans, who managed to instill desire, discipline, focus and organization in a team that was threatening to go on strike for unpaid bonuses?
Let’s learn to swallow our pride sometimes and give credit where it’s due. Waldrum is no Guardiola. If NFF wanted a Guardiola, they should have hired one. But for an unpaid coach, I think he has not done too badly. Yes, he can do better, but that saying applies even to Guardiola. No human is perfect!

  • pompei 10 months ago

Chima put that blunt you’re smoking down. It’s clouding your thinking.
Uncouth idiot, using swear words with one side of his mouth and forming christianity with the order. Effing useless performance? A draw with a top side like Canada is an effing useless performance? A coach that is being owed for almost a year, and was not given enough time and resources to prepare for a tournament as big as the world cup, still manages to nick a point off Canada, and your stupid self calls that an effing useless performance? I would love to see you get the coaching job, and show us how it’s done! I better be careful what I wish for. A fool like you would likely make hasty, irrational, illogical decisions that would sink the team.
“We should teach the team how to make better use of the ball”, says Papafem. Agreed. But what if the team plays tiki taka better than Barcelona, and lose the game. Na you go still come out and demand the coach’s head on a platter.
If you like, when Waldrum comes back from the world cup, you and Papafem can go and cut his head off.

  • pompei 10 months ago

What infuriates me is that some people here are so quick to condemn the coaches and players when performances are not satisfactory according to their tunnel vision opinion.
How come these people do not vent their frustration and anger the same way over the coach’s unpaid salary of the players’ bonuses? For example, I can’t ever remember a time Chima expressed discontent regarding the coaches and players’ nonpayment.
Or the fact that the team did not have enough time to prepare for the mundial? When other countries were busy camping and playing friendly matches, our team was embroiled in a stand off with the NFF over unpaid entitlements! How come none of you showed anger and frustration at that?
Payment of the coaches and players no concern una, abi? But when the team underperforms, ehen! That is the one you see!
