Their previous match was the 2019 CAF Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal. In the match, Nigeria won 2-1. Nigeria has only lost once in twelve matches against Bafana Bafana, winning seven, drawing four, and losing one. Three of the last four meetings between these rivals had fewer than three goals.
Everything points to a low-scoring first AFCON 2023 semifinals. There have been no three-goal games between these two clubs in this tournament. In four straight matches. In three of their last four head-to-head matchups, they have scored less than three goals. Under 1.5 goals, the FT at 2.50 odds is our main bet.

Nigeria is a strong favourite to win. The Super Eagles certainly have a far higher calibre of members. They have skilled strikers like Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen. In the past, the Super Eagles have also won this matchup. Nigeria is the second choice, with odds of 1.57 to win.
