Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca believes no one at Manchester City doubted Cole Palmer’s ability as a footballer.
Following his inability to break into the City starting line-up Palmer made the move to Chelsea.
Since joining the Blues he has been a revelation having emerging the club’s top scorer last season.
His impressive performance in his debut season saw him win the Best Young Player award.
“Why City sold Cole Palmer? Everyone at City, they knew how good Cole is,” Maresca told TNT. “The only problem is that having so many players there…”.
“It’s difficult to give all of them minutes, so no one at City thought that Cole was not good enough, no doubt.”
