‘Not Very  Serious’ — Onuachu Plays Down Injury Fears

Paul Onuachu has allayed fears over his fitness after he was substituted in Trabzonspor’s Super Lig clash against Besiktas on Sunday.

The Nigeria international was replaced by Enis Destan three minutes after the break.

Onuachu opened scoring for the hosts in the 3-0 win.

The 29-year-old nodded home Enis Bardhi’s cross a minute before the half hour mark.

The striker said after the game that his injury is not serious.

“I am proud to score a goal in my first match. Everyone fought hard. I think my injury is not very serious. I left the game to prevent it from getting worse,” Onuachu told A Spor.

Trabzonspor will face Hatayaspor in their next league game on Monday.

Nenad Bjelica’s side currently occupy fourth position on the table with nine points from five games.
