Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman has outlined the club’s transfer strategy for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, revealing plans to strengthen his squad during the ongoing off-season recruitment drive.
Ashifat disclosed that Kwara United plan to sign 10 new players as part of efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.

The Harmony Boys have also retained 20 members of the squad that featured during the previous campaign.
”We have identified players that will add value to the club, and some invited players will join us as training progresses. Supporters will have the opportunity to see them during our training sessions,” he told the club’s media after their training session at the KFA pitch in Ilorin.

Ashifat Seeks Fans Support
Ashifat also disclosed that the club will unveil the retained players alongside the new signings to supporters at the appropriate time.
The coach further appealed to the club’s fans to continue supporting the Harmony Boys, expressing confidence that their backing will be vital to the team’s ambitions in the 2026/27 NPFL season.
”I want to implore our supporters, fans and stakeholders to be patient with the technical crew in revealing retained and outgoing players. Revealing those leaving may affect their chances of pursuing opportunities elsewhere, while the retained players will be unveiled at the appropriate time,” he said.
Kwara United survived relegation last season by finishing in 16th place.
