Kano Pillars missed the chance to secure top spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to MFM at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.

Katsina United recorded the only away win of the day edging out Jigawa Golden Stars 1-0 courtesy of Joseph Atule’s 30th minute strike.

At the Aper Aku Stadium, Lobi Stars thrashed Heartland 3-0.

Ossy Martins bagged a brace, while Monday Akile scored the other goal.
