Katsina United edged out Mighty Jets 1-0 on matchday 3 of the 2026 NPFL pre-season tournament in Jos on Friday.
Abba Dali’s 36th minute goal was enough to secure all three points against Mighty Jets and send Katsina United to the top of Group B and also reach the semifinals.
It is now back-to-back wins for Katsina United who also overcame El Kanemi Warriors 2-0 on matchday 2 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Katsina United will now head into the semifinals, where they will face the runners-up of Group A, between Rangers International or Plateau United.
The pre-season tournament is part of preparations for the six teams contesting ahead of the new football campaign.
