Team Ogun swimming star Kolade Otunla has expressed his desire to become an Olympic champion in future, reports Completesports.com.
Otunla claimed gold medal in the men’s 100m backstroke at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival.
His return time of 1.02.41s was enough to break the national and festival record set in 2018.

“I am so happy and I am so grateful, and what I want to tell you guys is that swimming is not about rushing, or breaking out so hard. Just make sure you stay on your pace.
” 70% is when you are going and once you are coming back sprint out to 100% and once you get to 5 meters just make sure you keep your head straight and pace and that is just it.
“I am so happy and all thanks to the person that sponsored me to this level, thanks to my coach he has been the one training me, he wakes me up everyday although it is not by my power.
” I wish to be the Olympic champion and I am working towards it”, he said
