Stanley Nwabali has offered support for Victor Osimhen in the wake of the forward’s failure to secure a move away from Serie A club Napoli.
Osimhen, who was expected to quit Napoli this summer failed to secure a move on transfer deadline day.
Saudi club Al Ahli and Chelsea pushed hard to sign him on transfer deadline day but the deal eventually collapsed.
The 25-year-old now been removed from Napoli’s Serie A squad and now face the prospect of waiting till next year before playing active football at club level.
Nwabali took to the social media to encourage his international teammate.
“All great Legends and all Hall Of Fame fighters have their storylines. Good bad and worst kind of views from people who have no idea what the real story is and what it takes. I would define a myth as a story that has survived. VO9,” he wrote on X.
