Israel-based forward, Chikeluba Ofoedu, has vowed not to rest on his oars in his bid to earn a debut invitation to the Super Eagles squad ahead of next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles and an
Ofoedu has scored nine goals and seven assists in 17 games so far this season for Isreali giants, Maccabi Tel Aviv and he is keen to emulate the feats of Vincent Enyeama and Nosa Igiebor who both played for Maccabi Tel Aviv and went on to play for Nigeria.
“I believe I have done a lot to attract a call to the National team and I trust I will not disappoint if given a first chance to impress,” Ofoedu told Completesports.com.
“I want to emulate big players like Vincent Enyeama and Nosa Igiebor who both played for Maccabi Tel Aviv and went on to play for Nigeria.”
Despite enjoying a fantastic season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Ofoedu remains focused on helping the club reclaim the league title they last won in 2014–15 season.
“It’s been a very interesting season so far but we have not won the title yet despite our 20 points lead, there is still top 6 playoffs after the regular season but our Spirits are high in expectations” the 26 year old noted.

Was a stellar player for Rangers back in the day in the local league.Outstanding professional.
Though struggled to find his feet in Europe playing in Turkish 2nd division for years removed his name from limelight but resurrected his career with a surprise move to a big Israeli team and playing week in and out.
However, playing well in Israel is one thing and getting invite to the super eagles is another. But my advice is move to a better league and keep scoring and assisting you could live the dream of playing for the super eagles which is already saturated with numerous attacking players.
All the best young man.
