Ojo Set For Permanent Rangers Switch From Liverpool

Ojo Set For Permanent Rangers Switch From Liverpool

Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers are interested in signing Nigerian-born forward Sheyi Ojo from Liverpool on a permanent deal, Completesports.com reports.

Ojo, 22, has been a mainstay of Steven Gerrard’s starting XI since joining from Anfield in the summer on a season-long loan.

Rangers sources have told Football Insider that the club’s hierarchy have talked internally about converting the loan into a full-time transfer just as they did with Ryan Kent.

Gerrard is a big admirer of the left-footed attacker and is convinced he will be a more consistent match winner when he has accumulated more senior experience.

The Rangers coaching staff believe Ojo is set to be even more effective as the season goes on, just as Kent was during his loan spell last term.

Rangers are likely to need to pay multi millions to land Ojo permanently, although the exact sum will depend upon his impact and performances over the month ahead.

Like Kent, Ojo is unlikely to make the cut at his parent club, where the competition for places is the greatest it has been in a generation.

He has a long-term Liverpool contract but they are likely to be open to offers next year.

Ojo has made 17 appearances for Rangers this season, scoring five goals and supplying four assists.

Another good player who could be another great addition to the super eagles, just like his compatriot Aribo.
We have to wait until his clearance is secured to see what he brings to the super eagles.
Judging from his form for club,he seems a bargain and would give Kalu and Musa a run for their money.A skilful, pacy and direct playing modern day winger Seyi Ojo won my heart by publicly declaring his ambitions of playing for Nigeria.
Thankfully,Southgate don’t look to Scotland to picking his players,so we can be smart by taking advantage of this to secure players who shows promise both in Scotland and the championship in England.
Apparently,Ajayi and Aribo’s performances for the super eagles is an eye opener that the premiership alone has not got monopoly of super talents in the United Kingdom. So lets go for the two QPR Nigerian eligible players as well.

We currently have 5 wingers, Sam chuks, Sam Kalu, Ahmed musa, Moses Simon and Emma Bonaventure, Just starts in any single match meaning 3 sits on the bench, the wingers are already much… Why didn’t this guy switch nationality when we needed them most.

@ Ololo, getting loads of players available is very much a positive move, for so many things could happen albeit we don’t pray for such. There could be injuries, loss of form etc. So in a case where you have a large pool of decent players to pick from, you won’t have to struggle to find a replacement.

@ Ololo, the joys of having so many options to choose from are you are able to pick the most in form at any given time. But when you have minimal options you are bound to pick players sometimes when they are not fit enough which may bring about poor returns to the team.Or as @ Glory rightly said, injuries are part of the game and when this happens, you have good enough pool to choose from.

The simple example is against Brazil,
Much key players withdrew from the team for one reason or the…

But we present a team to withstand Brazil, because we can now boost of good players on every department..

SE need a large squad, so Ojo is welcomed @Ololo

  • I want to let us know that mr Rohr know each and every player we may mention here,he is working on their plans, but it depends now who fits in his plans, but ojo will be a big plus

  • Some players are considered to be wingers but you never know these players could fit in as well as strikers,so more Nigeria descents are welcome. Nigeria is blessed with talents. May God bless Nigeria with political talents too

  • Guys please let us cool down on players that we need in super eagles because our dear Rorh knows about each and everyone of them,he is doing a great job,let us not follow this propagandists called journalists to criticize someone who has taken our team to a higher level,i pray that this man will support us again for even 3years because i know working for Nigerians is never easy especially when you are doing good job,God punish the devil,up super eagles God bless me
