No doubt about azubuike defensive qualities, his club is comfortably topping the Turkish league, a Turkish league cup and a champions league debut may ease your way to se squad!. It doesn’t end there bcos you have etebo, Azeez, Onazi and mikel Agu to contend with, as Ndidi is se team no 1 defensive midfielder.
In that pecking order you listed I’d say Azubuike can feel confident in displacing Agu and even Azeez if his form continues
Although we failed to qualify for Afcon in 2017, losing the last leg to Egypt, Zubby’s performance in Alexandria was quite impressive. In spite of the hostile away crowd, and the obvious quality of the opponent, Zubby played with authority, and was dominant in the midfield. He has been doing really well of late. Hope that trend continues.
Broda man, Zubby’s case is not for want of quality definitely. That boy is a midfield dynamo. His case is so unfortunate that only certain amount of players can be invited. Oboy Azubuike n Etebo combo just got Mikel dreams running wild during that Olympic football tournament.
Pompei. Zubby was absolutely fantastic when he came on against Egypt in Alexandria. He bossed the midfield with authority and could’ve had an assist if not for Moses shot that hit the post. He’s another player I’m looking forward to get a call up soon. His sojourn in the Egyptian league probably stalled his progress a bit, but with his club Istanbul Basaksehir comfortably on the top of the Turkish with a champions league appearance imminent as stated above by @Glory. Zubby should be competing in this current SuperEagles midfield. Way better than Mikel Agu and could also give Azeez and Onazi a run in the battle of diminutives. #FLY LIKE AN EAGLE INTO THE FUTURE.
