Eagles Roundup: Okereke On Target Again As Club Brugge Thrash Ezekiel’s Kortrijk

Nigeria forward David Okereke continued his impressive scoring form as Club Brugge recorded a 3-0 victory over Kortrijk in their league clash on Saturday night, reports Completesports.com.

Okereke came from the bench to seal Brugge’s win after Hans Vanaken’s brace had given Philippe Clement’s men a 2-0 halftime lead.

Okereke replaced Mbaye Diagne in the 62nd minute – and six minutes later, he justified his inclusion with his team’s third goal – his seventh of the season.

He has now scored for the third consecutive league games.

Abdul Jeleel Ajagun and Ezekiel Imoh came in as second half substitutes for Kortrijk however, their introduction could not prevent the the visitors from going down.

Club Brugge remain league leaders with 33 points from 13 matches and are six points above closest challengers Standard Liege.

After Wednesday’s clash at PSG, they travel to Bosuilstadion for a date with Royal Antwerp.

We need okereke in super eagles.

    • Sure. Rohr please open your eyes and see where the lethal weapons you can use are hiding.

  • Okereke and simi nwankwo should be given more chances not unuacho. Reasons rohr must understand is unuacho is too slow on the ball and it always afects the riddim of the game two he is got no speed and shots. Is biggest weapon is the head and running into a side crossing. But nigeria so far doesnt have good crossers of the ball so unuacho head chances are low

Nigerians we are confused people if this same Okereke stops scoring for only two weeks we will forget him and face the next goal scorer. Now I’m beginning to understand Drey!

All of a sudden nobody is talking about Olayinka or Dennis again if tomorrow they score we will not hear word again. If this coach is indeed reading comments here I’m sure he will be very confused. I’m waiting for Awoniyi or Chuba to score so that I will hear another round of calls

      • It’s about who scored or not Dennis is already in the team, Rohr doesn’t play him as a striker but a winger, the issue of onuachu just like @Collins said is true we don’t have good crosser to help him take advantage of his height.
The guy can’t run ,he slows our counter attacks down, he has not yet been a back up striker to osihme.
I’m of the opinion that another striker be given the same opportunity.
