Okocha: Osimhen Must Switch To Premier League

Former Nigerian midfielder, Austine Okocha has advised Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen to make a move to Premier League next season, Completesports.com reports.

He made this known on the backdrop of Osimhen’s goal scoring exploits in the Serie A this ongoing season.

Osimhen is currently the topscorer in the Serie A with 21 goals and four assists in 23 matches.

In an interview with the BBC, Okocha praised Osimhen and encouraged him to make a switch to the Premier League.

“Well I mean he’s done well, he’s having a great season,” Okocha said

“And I think he duly deserves the praise he’s getting, but the ultimate for him is to play in the Premier League which he has made clear as well.

“So we’re following his progress and what he can achieve is limitless if he continues with his hard-work.”

Osimhen has scored 15 goals in 23 games for Nigeria.

Osimhen is in the camp of the Super Eagles as they prepare for AFCON 2024 qualifiers with Guinea-Bissau on Friday, March 24 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium and on Monday, March 27 at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.

Go force am join na…. As if premier League is the ultimate for all players…. Can’t he go to la Liga and win trophies, CL?

  • Okocha should just rest and stop trying to chase stupid trophies… playing in the premier league is not a trophy

  • Coming from a player who went to Turkey after bringing the Bundesliga to it’s knees…… Osimhen has not settled for less since going to Europe and he will impress everyone with his next move.

Okocha is right. Osimhen has to go to England. That is where he belongs. Manchester United or Chelsea will be good. Xxx

My darling Olujjj, the players you mentioned are just going through hard times. Even Englishman Harry Maguire too is chopping bench in Manchester United.
Osimhen is different, he will be like Erling Haaland. No kisses for you today.

The English  Fans responding to Nigerian fans on YouTube has already started saying he’s not better than Haaland and he’ll be another Lukaku. If this hatred is there I wonder how a player can settle down without having this negative attitude kill his attributes.
