    Good news all around today!

    Congratulations Maduka. Am so happy seeing this. With the Coach singing his praises to the fans this way and we all know there was a delay in penning a deal with Sparta cuz Okoye made it clear he wanted First team football, Am sure he will be a big member of Sparta’s run in the new season. Congratulations MADUKA OKOYE

    I have an Ivorian friend who is 6ft 5in tall,therefore I know, maduka is a giant of a man. A young compose goal keeper who had is football academy in leverkusen, something tells me that this guy might be the SE number one choice keeper in years to come. Congrat bro!!

    My worry now is YOUNG Okoye in a 4th tier German division can sign for a reputable club such as Rotterdam in a reputable league such as the Eridivisie. Why can’t our home born and bred Nigerian Goalkeepers like Uzoho, Ezenwa, Akpeyi, Alampasu, Ajiboye and others also sign for a Good club in Europe?? Is there something wrong somewhere?

      they are simply lacking in the basic for goal keeping,

    • Olayimika 4 years ago

      Maybe apart from the training, the advantage he has is that he’s a E.U. citizen so that would favour the club as he wont fill up the foreign quota. Just my thoughts…..

    congratulations to you Okoye. You made a right decision, kudos to you.

    I’m not in doubt about your qualities after watching you in Brazil vs Nigeria match and ever since then, I’ve been wondering why you shouldn’t bn giving game time in the Super Eagles.

    I won’t be surprised if they asked you to sit on the bench as usual. That is what they really good at.

    George Campos was very young when by the time he took over no1 position
    of his national team as a goalie at a tender age and the young man wasn’t disappointed the Mexicans.

    Nonetheless, Alanpasun, Osagwe and you Okoye including Uzoho should be the goalkeepers of the Super Eagles. Age has little to do but exposure does a lot.

    It is very early to talk now though. When Super Eagles resumes and the coaches of the Eagles refuse to change their favoritism in the team then, the actions begins. Remember, we patriotic Nigerians are here to fight for
    your right. But for now, it is too early to tell them the koko. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • @Omo9ja;
      Quick questions for you;
      1. Who in your opinion should be Super Eagles 1st choice GK?
      2. Going into any match cum tournament, the Super Eagles can only register 3 GKs; which three GKs would it be for you??

      How old was Uzoho when he had his debut for the SuperEagles? Have you forgotten so soon which club he was playing for at the time. Despite playing in the Fourth tier of the German league the coach still gave him his SuperEagles debut. So what are you talking about? Are you not the same person crying all over the place that why was a Fourth division player invited by Rohr to the SuperEagles?? Lord have mercy. Anyway I’m not surprised. However, you will continue to deal with the fact that Rohr will still be in charge of the SuperEagles despite all your shenanigans.

    • Ayphillydegreat 4 years ago

      I also put it to you that you lied about George Campos. Campos made his international debut for Mexico in 1991 at the age of 25. Lmao!! You know those you can come here to deceive not us. Even when he began his club career for UNAM in 1988 he was 22. What is the tender age you’re talking about?? Was he 17, 18 or 19 years old when he made his national team debut. Opurọ nla. Don’t worry all your lies will soon catch up with you.

        He’s a very shameless liar. Ask drey and he’ll tell u countless number of times he has debunked his lies. That’s what he’s good at. master of lies and deceit.

    Very GOOD.. on a “lighter” note .. this young Naija Son is one of the sample reasons “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson Played the Character “OKOYE” in the Hollywood film “RAMPAGE” ..

  • Congrates okoye.
    i simply lack worlds to express my joy.
    this is the league that onana is playing in and bcox he is doing well,all the big European clubs are pursuing his signature.
    I Wish you can follow his footsteps or even do better bcox you have alot of confidence and all the characteristic of a world class shotstopper(excep experience) instilled in you by the Germans-home of best goalkeepers.

    Let me join my brothers to say congrats to you okoye!
    This is the kind of news we need in the Super Eagles, we only keep moving forward, backwards never .

    We are hoping you can displace the rest goaltender in the club and become the first choice.

    With all these massive improvements, there will be no reason for us not making at least quarter finals of the next World Cup.

    Everything is now on Rohr’s hand, we are ready to assist him to succeed.

    A quote from Twitter handle @AmosC about goalkeeping situation at Rotterdam

    “A quick look at the club’s 4 goalies – He (Okoye) is the youngest (20), newest but tallest (198cm). 1 of the 4 is injured, another’s contract is expired and the 3rd just came in from Ajax after being unregistered in the 2019/20. There is an opportunity for Maduka.”
