Bukola Olopade, chairman of the Main Organising Committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival says hosting the competition has boosted local economy in Ogun State.
Ogun State is hosting the National Sports Festival for the second time.
Venues for the games are spread across Abeokuta, Ikenne and Sagamu.

Olopade, who is also the Director General of National Sports Commission,NSC, revealed that the popular Ogun State’s Adire fabric is currently out of stock.
“Sports business is my forte, and I can assure you that the local economy is feeling the impact of the sports festival as we speak,”he told reporters in Abeokuta.
“I gathered reliably that Adire, our cultural export, is no longer in stock in Abeokuta.
“Imagine the volume of business it entails to wipe out the stock ”
