Kenneth Omeruo has nominated Super Eagles teammate Ademola Lookman for the 2024 CAf Player of the Year award.
Lookman was the hero for Atalanta as he bagged a hat-trick in Atalanta’s 3-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
He becomes the first-ever player to score a hat-trick in the Europa League final.
His goals helped Atalanta land a first major trophy since 1963 and also a first European title.

Lookman’s hat-trick took his goals in all competitions to 15 this season.
Reacting to his heroics, Omeruo wrote on his social media handle:”@CAF_Online your Arica Player of the Year..@ALookman_ top player.”
Lookman was impressive for the Super Eagles as his three goals helped the team to the AFCON final where they lost 2-1 to hosts Côte d’Ivoire.
His performance earned him a place in the Team of the Tournament.

I think Lookman will be CAF player of year 2024 , cause no African player shone in European pitches as Lookman shone as an African player led his club to win UEFA Europa Leauge , he has scored hat-ric for his club Atalanta BC for their frist time since from their foundation.
He led his club to win Europa league, qualified his club for champions League, qualified Nigeria to final of the Afcon, He wins Nigerian footballer of the year bcos of his one man performance at the Afcon. He deserves it no one comes close.
Exactly what I was thinking yesterday. I think he is better position to win since no Africa player come close to him. What a performance from him yesterday.
