Onuachu Relishes Super Eagles Call-Up, Eager To Bag Debut Game

Paul Onuachu is looking forward to making his international bow for the Super Eagles in the games against Seychelles and Egypt, Completesports.com reports.

Onuachu has impressed with Danish club FC Midtylland this season scoring 14 league goals for the club.

He is among the four new players invited for the dead rubber 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Pirates of Seychelles and the friendly game versus the Pharaohs of Egypt.

”I’m happy to be invited to the Super Eagles squad for the games against Seychelles and Egypt. I’m looking forward to the games and will do my best for my country,” Onuachu stated in a short video posted on the Super Eagles’ official Twitter handle.

The Super Eagles have already booked a place at Egypt 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, and are looking to end the qualification series on a high note with a fourth win.

Friday’s clash against the Pirates of Seychelles will be used as one of the three-time African champions’ build-up matches for the tournament in Egypt.

The first leg ended 3-0 with Odion Ighalo, Chidozie Awaziem and Ahmed Musa finding the net at Stade Linite, Victoria.

Nigeria will take on Egypt in a friendly at the same venue four days later – on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
