Onyeka Provides Assist As Brentford Edge West Ham; Man City’s Doku Equals Pogba’s EPL Record

Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka had assist as Brentford defeated West Ham 3-2 in Saturday’s Premier League game, completesports.com reports.

It is now three wins on the bounce for Onyeka and his Brentford teammates as they move up to 9th on 16 points in the league table.

Onyeka set up Neal Maupay for the opening goal in the 11th minute.

Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen scored on 19 and 26 minutes to put West Ham 2-1 ahead.

An own goal by West Ham’s Konstantinos Mavropanos 10 minutes into the second half brought the score to 2-2.

In the 69th minute Nathan Collins grabbed the winner for Brentford.

At the Etihad, Manchester City tan riot as they hammered Bournemouth 6-1.

City’s summer signing Jeremy Doku scored and provided four assists in the win.

Doku is now the first player to register four assists in a Premier League match since Paul Pogba against Leeds in August 2021.

He opened the scoring on 30 minutes before setting up Bernardo Silva (33 minutes) Manuel Akanji (37 minutes) Phil Foden (64 minutes) and Silva again (83 minutes) for the second, third, fourth and fifth goals respectively.

City, on 27 points, return to the top on the log after 11 games played so far.

Other results saw Crystal Palace beat Burnley 2-1, Everton played 1-1 with Brighton, and Sheffield United beat Wolves 2-1.

    Doku destroyed Bournemouth today.
    They simply could not cope with him.
    Goal of the season contender from Kudus. Moyes was full of appreciation.
