Onyekuru Set To Join Galatasaray On Loan From Monaco In January

Turkish Super Lig Champions Galatasray are keen on signing Henry Onyekuru on loan from French club, Monaco in January, reports Completesports.com.

Onyekuru spent last season on loan with Galatasaray from Premier League, Everton and won the league and FA Cup titles with the club.

The Nigeria international scored 14 goals and recorded five assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for Fathi Terim’s men.

He however joined Monaco on a permanent deal this summer but has struggled for regular playing time at the principality club.

According to a report in Sporx.com, Galatasaray are looking at the possibility of bringing him back to the club in January.

The Yellow and Reds have struggled to get going this season despite the arrival of Colombian forward, Radamel Falcao and currently occupy 10th position in the table.

  • Why can’t this guy develop his talent elsewhere apart from turkey

  • Patrator 5 years ago

That would be a nice move for this guy, he’s good but his career seems to be disturbed by transfer hitches.
    Wishing him all the best

Person wey get sense. The fans so adore him in Galatasary and I was surprised he didn’t seal a permanent deal with them at the commencement of the season. Now he’s going back to where he’s loved and surely get game time. Nice move Onyekuru.

…@Chairmanfemi, he actually stalled on the move to Monaco because he wanted a return to Galatasaray because of the champions League involvement and how he was adored there and did well but Everton probably wanted good money as Gala wanted only a loan option as they were priced out of a permanent deal by a host of other clubs that bid higher…

Proper player. Think his size is not giving Rohr enough joy to stick with this bundle of talent. A little bit of added weight n strength will unearth another Samuel Eto fils in Henry Onyekuru. God bless Henry the great Onyekuru.

If this news is true then Onyekuru is a confused player.. Why going up and down..he shld stay in Monaco and fight for a shirt that’s what make him a fighting player like other players do.
Bfor u knw it now his career will be over while he still moving from country to country in search of permanent club to call a home

  • Thanks Jimmy for that piece of information which puts a lot of context in the matter for me.

Shame it hasn’t worked for him at Monaco.

I, for one, am looking forward to him going back to Galastasaray where he can start enjoying his football again.

A supremely talented player like him should not be rotting away on the bench weekly!

overrated and lazy player… he was only good at Eupen.

The truth is one and it’s as simple as Henry was overrated by we Nigerians so far the only proper player we have is rather the underrated one who doesn’t know his worth that is why he is still languishing at stoke city… most of our lads are average that is why they don’t sparkle week in and out due to inconsistency…. Another bitter truth is those thinking Oshimeh is better Tammy or Balogun better than Tomori knows the real truth in their heart…

Our home based flopped we said it’s as a result of no action league but Ghana has same predicament and Kotoko defeated pillars also just yesterday their home based walloped CIV to make it to the wafu final still their league is inactive far more than. Naija league without GFA.

So those of you making excuses knows the truth dwells in our thinking! Until we get it we will keep deceiving ourselves from youths to Bhuari!

I’m glad I will have no reason to visit Nigeria in the nearest future because everything sucks take it or leave it. I wonder how people survive and it’s beginning to affect those of us who are Bread winners and have to fix families back home!

Henry is amazing talent and great player. I loved watching him and his dribbles at any giving game at GS. I hope he can come back to GS and let us watch his great show…

  • Oyenkuru is a highly talented player, he is not over rated at all, some coaches have a way of just frustrating certain players even when their team is not doing well they will stubbornly hold on to the players they choose to play.Monaco is not doing well yet the coach is overlooking a player that was hot all season last year. Morinho did it to Salah at chelsea, Some years ago AC Milan did it to kluvert who was one of the hottest strikers in the World but they bought him from Ajax and kept him on the bench for a full season. Then Barca came for him and he took the spanish league by storm. I will be very happy to see him go back to Turkey. Isaac Success and Ihenacho should do same instead of warming the bench. Isaac Success case is worse, i don’t know why he is comfortable staying on the bench permanently.

How many brilliant performance has Henry given in the super shirt… he is overrated just like we hyped kayode and Ajayi at Ah Alhly… Henry is a 5 aside fustal player in my own opinion

It seems that it is only one blogger that dislikes Henry Onyekuru’s career. Well, the number is quite insignificant to affect the opinions of others about Henry. Henry is a great footballer. Take it or leave it.
