He just moved in January and has 14 goals in all competitions……We might have a gem but then you have clueless morons who can’t harness these talents lol.

  • Orban’s purchase coincided with Gent’s surge in form and everyone can see why….. Orban is an asset to have in the attacking area of any team…..Orban is Very clinical in front of goal and he is able to score in difficult situations.

  • Papafem 1 year ago

And one coach said he didn’t know him therefore, he couldn’t be invited to the u23. 13 goals in 11 matches. Kudos boy

All hope not lost .. Nigeria can still go to morroco through the back door if nff fight for injustice the guinea fa did in the second leg .but CAF hasn’t got complaint yet .
      Guinean used overage players.

      • Emecco 1 year ago

NFF has lodged a complaint, (according to Owngoal Nigeria). The evidences are so clear, Guinea u-23 would eventually be disqualified, Pls I am begging NFF, they should fire Salisu and appoint another coach in case we finally make it to the U-23 Afcon through the back door.

Orban? Who is that? I don’t know him. HAHAHAHAHA!

    • A So called grassroot coach who should know every up coming talent in our football tells you he does not know the hottest young forward player in Europe at the moment…… It’s typical in all sectors of the Nigerian society especially politics and administration…… People who don’t know anything about that sector is dictating the affairs of the sector…… what pains me most is the youths who embrace midiocrity and align with it as the normal thing.

      • Yes, this orban guy was a hitherto unknown quantity, but his testament performances have thrust him into undeniable limelight. Nigeria will have itself to blame if it allows this to slip through its fingers like others in the past.

    • Dr. Drey 1 year ago

The technical director of the Nigerian football federation also once claimed he didn’t know Cyriel Desser, the hottest Nigerian striker in world football at that time….a player who was topping the scorers charts even in the Europa league.

When you think you have been shocked already, our local coaches will shock you the more.

      • @ Drey, Good to hear your voice. You are welcome. I am praying NFF listen to voice of reasoning and provide our National Teams with tested and high technical coaches especially Super Eagles and U23 National teams. What we have now are bunch of mediocares who cannot give us the desire results especially the U23 coaches Salisu Yusuff and Boboye. The NFF should know the scorecard of their performance has already started. We are watching and taking notes of their performance. NFF provide us with good coaches not these coaches. Satisfy our desire once.

  • I suspect the dumb NFF has either not hesrd about this boy or there’s a problem somewhere. Maybe he’s not a Nigerian after all.

  • Papafem 1 year ago

If at all this boy will leave Belgium, let him to go to France. That’s the next natural place for him to grow, not in the deep waters of the EPL. He’s not a shark yet. If he gets his rhythm in France, then he can think of EPL or Serie A.

They don’t know orban but they know people in fifth tier of very obscure leagues who give them heavy bribes. All these eguavon, salisu people should just go home. They are not into football.I perceive some of them are cobblers

So when did it become a crime, when a coach said he is not aware of a certain player? Where was he the whole of last year? how many of you knew about him when he was in Norway. How many of you watch norwegian league?. Na so una go dey shout bring this bring that, they will enter national team and be useless, Wetin happen to una almighty oshimen, and kelechi, during this last qualifiers, abeg leave the coach alone, now that he has heard about him, let him do his job.

    • Chidi 1 year ago

You are a bastard….You lack any sense. In this modern era where it is easy for coaches to keep tabs on their players, you come out and spew this shit…..Even small African countries invite their best legs who do well in Europe and keep tabs on all their active players..People like you form an integral part of the backwardness going on in our football and Nigeria as a whole.

    • So also it is not a crime if our politicians don’t Know that Nigeria does not have modern hospitals…….so also it is not a crime if our Government officials do not know that our schools are in a terrible state……so also it’s not a crime if Our leaders do not know that we have bad roads everywhere……With youths like you Nigeria is doomed

    • Dr. Drey 1 year ago

Okponu…you have come to disgrace yourself in public again….LMAOoo???

Shebi it was last year your U23s played Guinea and got booted out of the Olympics….LMAOoo

The coach is unware of a player playing in Europa league (abi na ECL sef) but he is aware of those playing in latvia, Albania and Spanish 4th division.

When I say you are daft, it isn’t an insult….it is a complement….LMAOoo

      • @Dr. Drey but you should be happy na your Musa is getting free undeserved reign in Super Eagles even if it means talented players like Gift Orban and victor Boniface miss thier chance in the national team because of this.

Or you telling me cannot see how it is connected? or the ripple effect of this injustice thereoff?

        • Dr. Drey 1 year ago

Aren’t you tired of ranting about the continual invitation of the current SE captain….just like other captains b4 him….LMAOoo

I thought you claimed he has been booted out the last time when he wasn’t caller up for friendlies….LMAOoo.

Continue crying ehn. I’m laughing at you from a distance.

Only Musa is blocking 8 players from the SE….LMAOoo what an insane assertion.

You will tell me if you were in coma when Yobo was taken to the world cup JUST TO EARN 100caps.

          Bloody bigots.

      • Kenneth 1 year ago

Look at this SOB talking crap. If not for the boys recent exploits, do you even know who he is. Abeg spare us all this garbage about best legs. What’s have the ones in the national team done for us

    • Douglas John ufuoma 1 year ago

      ALL THE INVITED PLAYERS:

Success Makanjuola (FK Liepaja, Latvia); Bello Babatunde (Future FC, Egypt); Isaiah Ejeh (Mjallby Alf, Sweden); Abiodun Ogunniyi (FK Auda, Latvia); Monsuru Opeyemi Abdullahi (FC Vizela, Portugal); Omole Akinyinka Olaoluwakitan (Athletic Newham, UK); Owen Tega Udoh (UD San Sebastian Reyes, Spain); Azeez Temitope Yusuf (Mjallby Alf, Sweden); Charles Uba (Lillestrom FC, Norway); Simon Omon (Clube Operation Desportivo, Portugal); Ihekuna Maximillian Ugochukwu (FC Sfintul Gheorghe Suruceni, Moldova); Chukwudi Goodluck Igbokwe (KAA Gent, Belgium); Abass Saidi (Zagalata FC, Azerbaijan); Ibrahim Buhari (IF Elfsborg, Sweden); Gift Emmanuel Orban (KAA Gent, Belgium); Samuel Amadi (Eramica Cleopatra, Egypt)
Please tell yourself the truth is this the best he can get for Nigeria as u23, Nigeria now lack players in standard leagues that can be called up for from England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, holland. Make shame they catch us oooo, inviting players from Latvia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, third division. Hmmmmm

  • pompei 1 year ago

No, it is not a crime for a coach not to know a quality player. That’s never a crime.
It’s also not a crime for an auto mechanic not to know what a spanner is. Or for an accountant not to know how to do a bank reconciliation. Or a surgeon that can’t recognize a scalpel. These are definitely not crimes.
A player is getting rave reviews in the Belgian top tier league, and person that is identified as a football coach, a national team coach for that matter, say’s he doesn’t know him?
Let’s call a spade a spade. It is not a crime, but it is highly unbecoming.

    • Dr. Drey 1 year ago

Hahahaha….it is definitely a crime that FIFA does not know CR7 and Messi….LMAOoo

      • I miss you young man. Where have you been at Dr. Drey?

Since the departure of Genort Rohr and the speedy downward trajectory of the super eagles after his sack, this group have been so boring because there is nothing to cheer us again.

      • KENNETH 1 year ago

Ogbeni shut your pi-hole if you have nothing sensible to say. At least your website don confirm he is under investigation for not honoring the invite. Na so una go hype all of them and they end up coming to the team and become a shadow of themselves

        • Ufuoma Douglas 1 year ago

Who end each other more, Nigeria or gift? Let’s call spade a spade, do you like the way things are being run in the glass house, they fired coach that make qualification look like primary school game to hire a coach who is still using 1990s formation, a coach who lose straight four matches in a row, a calamity Rohr never did.
A player from a none playing league from Nigeria was selected when their many players that would have come in, no crime. Hmmmmm

        • Chidi 1 year ago

Dude, you sound miserable. I don’t see a crime inviting one of the hottest lads in Belgian football right now and why are you so pained about it…. Him shunning a national call up is pure lies when invitation was sent out late to him due to Salisu not knowing who he was but knew players in Azerbaijan and 9th division English league. The criminal FA is trying to spin the block to cover up for Salisu’s disaster. T think you have people in the NFF or you are just one miserable bloke…. You offer no solution but jut antagonism. Go rest joor!

          • Kenneth 1 year ago

LOOOOOOOl. DID u say miserable, oga abeg save your data and look for better things to do with your time. Maybe you can ask your almighty player why he didn’t honor the call up. What makes the belgian league better than Azerbaijan. The question have asked is simple, did you ever heard of that name before he came into the spot light in January. So don’t come here and be sounding like some agent that knew the player for years. Maybe you even started watching his games of late. Nonsense

        • Chidi 1 year ago

Moron did u know kvaratskhelia when he was playing in the Georgian league for Dinamon Batumi in 2022….Fast forward he is an estimated 80 million euros player. You are so daft you think players don’t improve or grow and should be stagnant. Backward fool.
