Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega has joined the women’s team of Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua, and she remains thankful to God for the steady progress in her career so far, Completesports.com reports.

Eyaaa…. I can see you have so much sense that you don’t know that that song was a song of praise sang by Chief Ebenezer obey in the 80s in eulogy of a certain widely travelled Nigerian who journey round the world on his scooter. You most probably weren’t born then yet. When all the songs you kids listen to nowadays is all about drugs, fraud, rape and money rituals why would you just jump into some else’s space like a rabied house pet….?

  • _Ordega Tribute_

A footballer after my very heart, I remember reading an article early last year where Ordega was in awe of meeting one of her idols Fernando Torres.

The picture of their warm embrace is still fresh in my mind as Ordega said shortly afterwards on social media: “One of the best strikers in the world… @fernandotorres.. you are one person I always wish to meet in person and today I can’t believe I’m standing right beside youwhat a small….
    thanks for the inspiration…”

Those words encapsulate exactly how I feel about Ordega herself!

One of the best female strikers in the world, Francisca Ordega is truly an inspiration, not only to female footballer, but to all aspiring young footballer of either gender.

If you take aside her loan spells, the 4 times Afcon champion has actually been in the books of only 6 clubs in 11 years which is not altogether unusual.

An influence on and off the pitch, the Benue state born striker is one to always tear into opposing defences to devastating effects and then unleash shots that have often been either to hot to handle or too cold to hold for goalkeepers.

Her 1 goal per 3.7 games for Nigeria is only part of a story that includes all round team-play, dedication, passion and finesse.

The news of her transfer to a club in China (a powerhouse of women football) is the latest step in what has been a very impressive career to date.

A front three of Ordega-Umotong-Oshooala should be a source of worry for our opponents in China.

Well done Ordega: More grease to your elbow or rather, more goals to your boots!

  • The Super Falcons are expected to do well at this summer’s world cup in the eyes of Fransisca Ordega because the prerequisite for success are being put in place by the NFF.

Ordega has never doubted either her qualities or that of her Super Falcons colleagues.

The way she sees it, the team already have the personnel to get the job done. All is needed is adequate preparations with high quality friendlies (something the NFF is already doing).

Speaking on dailytrust.com shortly after their Afcon triumph, I read the now-China based star was quoted as saying: “With good preparations, I am sure this squad can do well at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

We only need to play top international friendly matches.

We have young players from the U-20 team who have joined up with us and some of us have got World Cup experience so a combination of youth and experience can take us far in France.

So if we prepare well, we can go beyond where we have been stopping at the World Cup.” End of quote.

I tell you, Dennerby and his ladies are making me believe more and more with each passing day. 🙂

  • Reports from a certain media outlet have it that Super Falcons sharpshooter Francisca Ordega made a goalscoring debut as she scored the winner in Shanghai 1-0 win over Shandong last Saturday in the Chinese Women’s Cup.

This is really good news as our ladies are playing top flight women’s football leading up to the world cup in France.

I have said it on several occasions and I will say it again : a front line up of Oparanozie flanked on either side by Oshoala and Ordega with Rasheedat Ajibade supporting from the middle will unlock defences and score goals in France come July.

    Bring on Norway!!!

    Bring on South Korea!!

    Bring on France!!
