Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala continued her impressive goal scoring form for Barcelona Ladie by netting one in their 2-0 away win against title rivals Atletico Madrid Ladies at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, reports Completesports.com.
It was Oshoala‘s fifth goal in five appearances for Barcelona Ladies in the Liga Iberdrola since her arrival on loan from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian in January.
Oshoala opened scoring for Barcelona Ladies in the 65th minute of the keenly contested encounter.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies starlet was however replaced by Toni Duggan 17 minutes from time.
Substitute Duggan made the three points safe for the Barcelona Ladies by netting the second goal 10 minutes from time.
Barcelona Ladies are now leveled on points at the top of the Liga Iberdrola table with Atletico Madrid.
The game was watched by 60, 739 fans, a new record for a women’s club match.

She plays for Barca.
Has scored five goals in five appearances.
This girl should be invited to the Super Eagles camp jo!
Hahaha
ha! some defender will just gladly fall on her and claim they re only fouling her.
The girls are coming:
As if the news of Oshoala’s exploits in Spain this weekend was not enough, not far away in neighbouring Portugal, fellow Super Falcon striker Chinaza Uchendu was also in inspiring form as she found the back of the net in Braga’s 8:0 demolition of Boavista.
Now to Sweden where defensive midfielder Rita Chukwuelu was instrumental in Kristianstads DFF’s 2:1 victory against Defender Faith Ikidi’s Pitea. Both ladies played 90 minutes with Rita earning a yellow card for her troubles (Rita has been in fine goal scoring form for club and country of late).
In France, Oparanozie continues to be missing in action for Guingamp who recorded a 3:0 away victory against Lille. Oparanozie last featured in the league in February. Oparanozie hasn’t featured in the league since early February.
Earlier this week, Super Falcons striker Ini-Abasi Umotong crashed the bar with a right footed shot from the centre of the box in 93 minutes as her Brighton side drew 1:1 with Yeovil Town.
She came in as a 72 minutes.
I really loved it when coach Dennerby implied that FIFA rankings meant nothing to him (Nigeria are the lowest ranked team in their world cup group).
Should our ladies continue to get game time in their clubs with some eye catching performances, Super Falcons fans can dare to dream of the stars….
She is gud.
_Oshoala absent but Esther Sunday returns_
Oshoala’s name was missing however Esther Sunday, who is a favorite of mine, has been given another chance to make a return to the national team with her inclusion in Dennerby’s preparatory squad for the 2019 World Cup in France.
The list, made up largely of homebased players, includes players like Imo Anam and Tochukwu Oluehi (earned a red card against Austria) who featured in the recent Cyprus tournament.
Esther Sunday – who plays in Turkey these days – has been part of the Super Falcons set-up since 2010. She featured at the 2015 women’s World Cup.
Though invited to the Falcons’ camp ahead of the 2018 women’s Afcon, when was dropped for the tournament proper.
A left winger with dribbling abilities, dashing pace, power and an eye for goals, Esther will be hoping to impress Dennerby this time around.
